Morphettville Pk got up by 3 goals in the a grade. Really good game shoc up by about 4/5 goals half time. Strong second half by morphy pks lots of run. Matt Barrie good up forward
Saw some of the Flaggy v Onkas game this arvo, low scoring but Onkas got up about 5 goals to 4. Both sides looked young and skillful. Was a good contest

can anyone attending post some scores?
Going to Mt Barker to watch the Valley game. Will try to post scores for you.
Nearly half time Happy Valley 8.7 55 to Mt Barker 3.2 20 Valley all over them. McNamara and Squire going well and Peterson-Gray.
Valley by 12 goals plus.
McNamara will be a very good in for Valley. Very classy and poised, also saw some good young talent in Davenport and a few others blooded today. Petersen-Gray, Brown, Squire and J. Eagleton all massive contributors and Brown showed why he is the best small ruckman in the league.
Overall, Valley were too good in pretty much all positions on the ground, should be set for another big year.

Interesting from a SAAFL versus SFL perspective. Only a trial game, but SHOC bottom in Div 1 2012 vs MVP finished fourth after minor round in SFL, but lost in straight sets ( really 5th or 6th with the draw). Wonder how both will go in 2013
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Also thanks to the Hackham Football club for the use of their oval. Always a good deck and the beers after the game were appreciated.
Thanks Morell, was definitely good to clear out the cobwebs (inaccurate goalkicking). Game was played in great spirit and would not be surprised to see Parks continue on their good form from last season heading up a grade this year - looks like you have some good players in your group there.
Thanks also to Hackham for their hospitality, as usual great burgers on the BBQ.

Again only a trial, but Salisbury North (4th last year in SAAFL Div1 after minor round) def Brighton by 3 and a half goals. I believe only 2 players from Brighton's 2012 A Grade GF side played in the trial.
Thanks to the Cove Football Club for the trial match on Saturday at Goolwa. It was a good day and it was good to see a lot of Cove colours in the bar after the match. Also a big mention to the Cove under 14's coach who umpired the B's after a umpire rostering stuff up. At the mention of a free slab as payment, he put his hand up straight away and did a good job.
You can love football, but it wont always love you back!

any scores .............
Towns easily accounted for Compass
Emu's by about a point i think?? Clean sweep for SFL over GSFL..
Wasnt there but didnt hear that, heard the dees by a couple of goals. In the end trial results count for squat, players missing, coaches trying players in unusual positions etc. Great to have high quality trials between the 2 leagues though and am sure all sides from these games got what they needed out of it. Whether it was exactly what the coaches and players wanted to see is another question but better to find out now than in Round 1!
