So all clubs have their trials away this weekend?
HWE vs CMS @ YP
Hamley vs Goolwa @ Goolwa
Virginia vs Wallaroo @ Wallaroo
Mallala vs Loxton @ Loxton
United vs Sth Eagles @ Antartica
Two Wells vs BM @ Pt Broughton

Then Balaks play on Wednesday evening vs Riverton.

Is all of this correct?

Two of the best lads as imports to come and fit in to a club, seem to be here for the long run and it's just lucky they can play a bit of footy when they arnt injured.
If o Brian didn't hurt his hand he would have probably got B and F
If not very very close.

Having a crack on who I think will take the chocolates this year. Feel free to leave a comment or even do your own.

Minor premiers:- Two Wells (15-1)
Premiers:- Two Wells
Mail medal:- Ned Seccafien (Two Wells)
Leader goal kicker:-Brendon Niklaus (Virginia)
Wooden spoon:- United (4-12)

15-1 is a big call IMO.
That would be a huge season and after losing arguably their best player in J Allmond to the Eagles, along with Mallala's bolstered list, I would be surprised if the Roosters only lost one game this season.
Your other predictions look more than reasonable.

Yes I know 15-1 sound a bit ridiculous but their gonna be extremely hard to beat at home and apart from mallala which they only play away once I believe? That's the only game I think they will drop. Very unlucky to not have gone 16-0 last year i was told.

I think a little more than "bad luck" played a part in their three losses but second half of the year was extremely strong, to their credit.

I see the issue of senior colts has a risen again in the paper, now i know most here just concern there selfs with A grade footy and keep to there clickey groups but the issue is does the junior comp here just disappear in a few yrs and we go back to roseworthy days of footy or do we try something, some will say well bad luck we have players thats there problem but as a follower of junior footy in this league for many yrs some clubs like united, hummocks, have exusted all options.alright we have 20 players but who does that 20 play, once every 4 weeks, without juniors it just opens the door for more and more money to be spent on players till then senior clubs go broke, where to then, money does come from footy being on all day and who is going to go and pay $6 to watch two games,APFL is not all about A grade footy, its about country people getting together and enjoying the day,do clubs merge and play friday nights,or play like paskerville/bute and follow one team for 8 weeks and the other for 8 weeks,am sorry but am very passionate about junior footy, but wheres the answer? At least united and Hamley are trying the Gawler league but with petrol prices and club loyalty i hope this wont be a issue, maybe time for clubs to bury the egos of bygone yrs and help each other.

I can think of one thing that might stop him....... he turns 35 this year. Plus I think he might get a fair bit of attention from opposition teams each week. The blokes a superstar but from what we've seen in the past, these older players that have excelled at the top level tend to struggle with injury due to less training and a lack of condition, and the quality of footy in our league is not all that complimentary to players that have played thier entire life (18 years+ for Cicca) in a team of gun footballers that move the footy predictably. I think the only way he'll have a HUGE year is if he plays all season up forward.
