Nairne A grade put the "Wobbly Warriors" to the sword finishing with 9/285 after 70 overs.
From the view from the front seat of my car (to escape the rain) it seems that T Heinrich survived what looked like a very confident lbw appeal on not many and ended up with 60 odd after some very big hitting.
L Harrowfield was dropped on 0 while playing in the rain and made 50 odd. K Heinrich hit cleanly late in the innings for 50 odd too.
Aaron Galvin bowled plenty of overs and finished with 5/100+. M Klose didnt bowl a single ball...???
Only hope Woodside have is if Wingers goes absolutely mental with the willow!!

Nairne A2's won the toss and sent Woodside in??? They finished with 7 or 8 for just over 200.

Anyone know the B's, C's and D's scores for AEHCA???

How heavy was the rain?
How long did it persist for?
How wet was the outfield?
Was it wet all day?

Should they have suspended play?

Nothing F***s up a good contest than rain does. Massive disadvantage to the fielding side.

Nairne won their 5th consecutive A&EHCA premiership today by about 100 runs. Woodside won the A2's in a thriller.

Congrats to Meadows, anyone know how many they have won in recent years?

4th, although fair to say it wasn't as easy this year and the gap is closing.

Interesting to see Mylor win the A4's easy but got trashed in the A3's. Could have easily won 2 premierships.

Congrats to Woody and the Mt Lofty under 17's winning the flag over Meadows, went undefeated for the whole season, great work.

Thanks Dutchy, 4 in a row is a great effort. Would like to see someone else win it next year as is the case in the AEHCA.

Not much player news out of TVCA (generally isn't at this time of year). AGM coming up some time in August. Will be an interesting night with some clubs pushing for a) all one dayers in the A grade b) Failing that, more one dayers in the A grade c) At least one T20 in the A Grade for points d) A shorter season with finals in Feb to suit harvest/orchard workers in March e) Lowering the "heat rule" to 38 degrees instead of 40 f) B Grade games being terminated once a result has been reached.

I'm/my club is opposed to all 6 suggestions, but have a feeling we'll be in the minority for most of them. Sign of the times..

Hopefully TVCA can generate enough junior teams to have more than just an U11 comp.

Keen to get back into it though. Footy season hasn't been too enjoyable. ;)
