Can anyone share info on Jason Degabriele and Aaron Wanders. Both played for Padthaway?

Border town will get outstanding service from Nick Hewett who has moved there from Broughton-Mundoora.
A classy midfielder who will turn heads. The netballers will take an interest too!

Both were guns up here in Northern Areas at Broughton-Mundoora. Wanders kicked two goals and was third best in the 06 GF win and DeGab also played in that game. Good blokes too.

I've got the stats here and in one set of voting slips Andrew Wilson got BOG withChris Button second, then Wanders, nick Edwards, mark Horner (5goals) and Matt Gale (3).
The other slips had it Tony Sims, Wilson, Andrew Charlton, Gale, Wanders, Button.
Your best were Cleggett, Lasha, Jimmy Wardle, Joel, Mussy and Noons on one set. On the other set of slips it was Wardle, Mus, Joel, Noons, Cleggett and Lasha.
Interesting how we all see it differently

I've heard the complete opposite to the bolded. Have been told Padthaway aren't too worried about them leaving.

I've heard they will be playing in the River Murray League. Or wherever Degab's hairdresser is based.

Which club they rumoured to be suiting up for?
They will need to respect the humble RMFL league after acclimatising themselves in the previous jam and scones leagues.

Few trials over the weekend.

Saturday padthaway did a very undermanned lucindale
Naracoorte aparently looked good/great against South Gambier
Kaniva got up over Kalkee

Sunday - after Apsley races yesterday looked like a few locals were bleary eyed. West Gambier sent up half a side to Frances to take on Borders. Six considerably shortened quarters to make up for it. Borders looked scrappy, kicked a lot of behinds. They were winning after three and then put more and more ressies in.

Of the new guys Brad Vallance was a cut above everyone on the field, he's got a monster boot. Stuart Ferenci from Meningie is a big boy.

One thing I noticed is the umpires going afl style. Players pinged for sliding in like Patty Danger was on Friday. Ruckmen not allowed to touch eachother around the ground until the ump throws it up. That sliding thing is the worst - pinging a guy for putting his body on the line. ******* hell.

Has Ferenci sorted his clearance out yet?

Yep has been cleared at last. You know what they say: the fifth time's a charm.

Any word on a young lad Jack Luckett. Has played a trial game for my city club. Looks pretty good
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

I'm not involved with the club beyond sinking a few cans on the outer so don't really know. His name isn't on any clearance list that I can see, so who knows?

Borders played their last trial today against Nhill at Frances. Six quarter job split halfway between A's and ressies. Ressies were up first and were 30pts down when they went off. We ended up winning off the last kick of the day, from Clint Barras. Big crowd in with the Frances school celebrating its 125th year. Lots of old faces I hadn't seen in donkey's years.

Was a good hitout played in good spirits. Borders won't challenge the top teams this year but will be much improved on what they were in 2012 (wouldn't be too hard).

Brad Vallance is scary good, if I had to nominate someone from Borders as a medal chance then he'd be it - no question. Looks like he should be playing SANFL.

On a sour note, looks like a bad leg injury to Mark Lemon. Very unfortunate for the young fella.
