Big shrek was very solid for kilburn ( can play)

Big Surely was pus! Awful game! Awful hands, C grade for the big fella next week :P

Hamley Bridge did come home strong, couple of very good players was it number 9 i think had a great set of hands, but in the end Kilburns foot skills got them over the line, were able to hit targets consistently and control the tempo late in the game.

For Kilburn thought Pressler had one of his better performances, definately offers more to the side as a water boy :P they'll miss Nick Pearce this year by the looks.

Hamley Bridge shot themselves in the foot too many times, the bloke i think was fullback was strugglin and gave away several free kicks for holding and the sort.

big shrek may of just had an off night. have heard reports he his a gun  the bloke at full back was a late fill in as was a few more from the b grade. i thought all the fill ins done very well. i tell you what im glad we done have them umpires and rules in our league. they were disgusting would of loved to see free kick tally. oh well only a trial. cheers to kilburn and all the best for the year

Taylor was awful, couldn't get a kick. Greenwood struggled too.

Thach and Graham were the only quality players out there.

couldnt agree more. i had graham as kilburns best by far. he is wasted down back he needs to be around the footy. should of played a lot higher footy in his younger days.

Turning into the shittest forum. Needs ore aggression.

On a serious note. I reckon Hamley might sneak into the finals this year. Have seen them two years in a row aswell as played trials against Virginia a couple of years running and HWE a couple of years ago. Hamley probably a 10 goal better team than last year especially with a couple of ruckmen and Haseldine to come in. Could still be hampered by a lack of depth thought especially if any of their guns get injured.

I know trials mean bugger all and my predictions are as accurate as my kicking but I'm tipping them to make the prelim (but only if they don't get their points wiped under the APPS system).

depth will definitly be our biggest problem. touch wood everyone stays on the park. big test next week though for the bombers. mallala have good even spread all over the ground.

Two wells by 38 Points I think. Roosters inaccurate early probably should have had 8 goals to 1 at quarter time but were 5.6 to 1.2. Virginia played some solid footy second quarter and probably won the quarter. Then two wells just ground home last 2 quarters.

Was there a bit of a wind over at Balak, looks like there was a pretty clear scoring end.

anyone with anything to report from games yesterday? thought that two wells would've been on here with their win over the fellow gardeners..

watched hb on Friday night from about half way through the 2nd term. they had the best player in the league out (my opinion), I believe from talking to other near the bar they had at least 2 of their regular talls out. They showed a vast improvement on previous years, i think they only had 1 or 2 on the bench as well, that being said they ran out the game better the KFCC

It wasn't flat but a few players wanted it changed. I didn't think it was too bad, and I shanked my fair share.

Two wells burst out of the blocks! They looked quicker and cleaner in the first quarter kicking 5.6 to 1.2!
If they had of kicked straight it could have been a lot worse! To Virginias credit they worked hard and won the second quarter by about 5 points. I think the heat got a bit much for both teams especially being round 1. The game slowed down a fair bit in the last two quarters. It was reasonably even from there on, Two wells did what they had to to not let Virginia get a sniff.
I also don't think Nicholas would have made a huge difference either as Virginia couldn't get any clean entries into the the forward line! Most of the goals came from mids and small forwards crumbing etc.

Yeah he was put on ice early with a tight hamstring! Coaching staff didn't want to risk him with the weather being so warm! Especially after the start the roosters had!!
