Mallala turned the ball over a lot because of Balaklava's tackle pressure. Probley the most smother's I've seen in a game. King got alot of the ball but in the end cost them the game. Shoot out with L Michael in the last quarter was a big mistake not manning him up. I think Mallala were up ny 4 goals at one stage. Losing Earl early didn't help.

Hopefully some fireworks in the Mallala v Hamley game this week.
Rumours that Parish has had a few snipes at Greenwood, the handbag would want to hope Mal doesnt come after him Saturday. Would have money on the softy running in the opposite direction

i did hear parish has been running his mouth in the mallala pub about greenwood. it will be interesting to see if the same words are said face to face. greenwood will take his aggression out on the footy. can only hope parish is running at the same footy. other then lets hope its a good game with plenty of skill

It's only round 1 it's impossible to tell anything.
This weeks round should shed a little more clarity of how teams will go this year.

Two Wells will lack depth this year, i think if they get a few injuries they might find it hard to fill spots. Played well Saturday though

Round 1 of the APFL footy tipping competition proved a real doozy, with Balaklava's upset win over Mallala only picked by three tipsters.
A surprising number of tipsters also backed the Rams in against the reigning premiers at home, leaving 10 tipsters with a big donut next to their name heading into round 2.

Were Hanson and Thach injured or just underdone Friday night?
I thought kilburn were a lot cleaner then HB but HB fonished the game a lot stronger. Taylor and Greenwood were very good and I thought Flynn was good when he moved forward.

I think Thachy would admit he had a bit of a stinker, and things just didn't work out against for Hanno on the night. Once again some young blokes went well in the trial, and I think Hamley's list may not be as shallow as people may think.......
