Umpiring at Virginia was not too bad, Doug and the tall young bloke with braces, were consistent anyway

Doug is the best umpire to ever grace a football oval.

True, well I believe thats the intent, and I dont really want to go on about how poorly the rules are written but as an example:

"Each player selected to play in the Senior Team of a Club will be given a base rating of Zero (0) points with the exception of Junior Players who are selected in that team who will be given a minus one (-1) rating. "

"“Junior Player” means a player under the age of 18 years who has played a minimum of 25 games from the year in which he turns 13 years of age with the Club of an Affiliated League with which he is seeking registration. "

So, in the case of a player who is under 18 but not played at that club, they're not -1??

Looks like the Eagles might be on the hunt in the near future to replace Andrew Turrell, who's knee isn't looking good apparently.

Virginia's Justin Stoyanoff also has done a PCL and should miss a few months.

On a brighter note, it's good to hear Brad Griffiths going well after his knee issues from the past few seasons.
