2 games in a row inaccurate kicking has cost us big wins. Final margin not really reflected on the Roosters dominance.

I haven't heard one person say one good thing about the informant. One of those blokes that have a good dream team, so they think they know a thing or too about footy. The budget is the worst I have ever seen. Pay what ever it is to look at team sheets.

The Informer needs input from the clubs. It would be more interesting if it had some more text in it, and only the team lists for the games being played at the particular ground handed out as a leaflet with it, so it doesn't get too big.

Even basic information/stats such as tables, goalkicker lists, 'last time they met', next weeks games etc etc - all virtually nil cost to add in but useful information.

Does the Producer still 'produce' the Informer?

The Barracker was always a good product, even when it was out on the Plains.

Yep, the Informer is laid out by the Producer. I'm not sure about the Barracker, as I've never seen it.

The Informer is 16 pages, each A grade team sheet takes up three of those, the other footy grades take up another three. There's 6 pages.

The Informant piece fills page 2. There's a front and back cover. There's another three pages.

The netball line-ups take up another three.

After a suggestion last year, we've introduced the premiership tables as of last week.

The remaining space belongs to the clubs. Maybe three and a half pages. If each of the 7 clubs uses that space, either with an ad or article, that fills the book.

The photos in there are generally published as fillers, should clubs not contribute anything. The whole mantra of the Informer is "By the clubs, for the clubs".

I've asked for suggestions on content before, ladders was one response. The ladders are in. Anything else would probably impinge on space allocated for the clubs to promote themselves/events they have.

All of the information published in The Informer comes from the league's clubs. If Nocyrils wants to give something back to the league like I do, and Lisa Redpath does, every week on top of my work, you're more than welcome.

It's a heck of a lot of work to do on top of the jobs we already have at the newspaper (probably takes up to seven or eight hours to do) and if anyone wanted to take it on, they're more than welcome.

I'm pretty certain the Barracker has someone employed specifically to compile it and if the APFL wanted to go down that path, it would also be more than welcome to do so.

Until then, it's something extra we take on. It may be basic but it does the job. So :finga: the lot of you

Is The Informer actually an APFL publication or a private enterprise On Song?

It's commissioned by the APFL. The Producer lays it out on behalf of the league. It is printed across the road.
The sale proceeds go back to the league I think.

Big Out this week for Virginia, A . Seccafein heard he had a minor heart attack watching Carlton get a win. Can anyone tell me has Hamley put an extension onto their change rooms? There is surely not enough room with all them new players.

If the rumours are correct then I wouldnt think they would have much $$$$ left after paying those "NEW PLAYERS"

There's money there through grants etc. I think they're working on something. Also looking forward to Two Wells' upgrade. That should be really good.
