Judging on the games so far this year, Taylor would have between 6-9 votes and Thach would have 5-7.
But as we know, umpires see things differently.
When does the association squad get announced?
Good on Ash Barnett for putting his hand up to coach. Should be interesting how Red deals with the Hamley Bridge boys that don't want to play.

No Hamley players will be selected in association squad. ;)

Haven't you read the forum BOMBERS, they are all overpaid hacks who couldn't get a kick in a stampede and are the laughing stock of the association....
Plus they only had one in the team last year didn't they? why would they get more this year?

While I think this post is just a brainless wind up, it does at least indicate that RooShootOhh HASN'T been reading the forum....

Lachy Norman has been playing very good footy in the 2's and in years gone by would have come straight back in. Unfortunately for Lachy his skill level at times when playing A's isn't quite up to standard which is probably holding him back from an instant recall

Does anyone know the formula that sporting pulse uses to calculate percentages?

Virginia Points For 394, Points Against 340, Percentage 53.68%

Hamley Bridge Points For 364, Points Against, 337, Percentage 51.93%

By my calculations their percentage should be 115.88 and 108.01 respectively...

Can anyone help?

Not grinding an axe for the lad, but finds a lot of the footy and rarely burns team mates with it. Kept an eye on him since he towelled up Max Doherty in a game at Balaklava last season. I'd suggest it's more a case of the points situation keeping Norman, Ash Natt and Gus Martin out than form.

In addition? Does the u/17s & u/14s play with the fair play rule?? i noticed to margins greater then 12 goals being published.

My understanding is that when the fair play rule is in actted the game is offically over and scores are not to read greater then 72 points in the under 17s, and 48 points in the under 14s. If margins are greater then 72 & 48, the losing team shall have their score adjusted by the addition of points to the excat score of 72 and 48...?

This does not seem to be appearing this year??

SANFL is a true percentage of points 'for' out of total scored, AFL formula is purely a ratio of 'for' vs 'against'.

Having said that, both methods will give the same rankings when all in the table are calculated the using same method.

yes they do stork.fair play rule is in and its up to the team managers and sec to enforce this,if at the end of a game and seniors are 80 pionts in front you must adjust the team sheet to show more pionts given to the losing side to make it a 72 piont win,eg if the score is 11-15-81 to 1-2-8,it must be adjusted to 11-15-81 to 1-3-9 which is 72 piont margin, the clubs are meant to make sure these are done correctly before entering scores, our juniors got in trouble this week and we were warned that fines may follow in future if not done correctly.

Straight to the tribunal, or do they have prescribed penalties for stuffing up the points in the paper? :(

5 games in and imo the TW Mal game is a must win for both clubs. All games between TW and Mallala seem to be close with TW not having tasted victory over Mallala at home for a number of years.

I would think all games this weekend are must wins. The Hamley game, the winner goes out right top. Balak need to win to stay in touch of the finals and longies need to win to go 2 games up on balak.
