Lenny always struck me as someone who wouldn't announce his retirement. He would prefer not to show up to pre season the next year.

Yeah I'm not sure how he was going to go about it to be honest. But he did say because of the young family he was going to focus more on that especially cause the great man is playing footy down at Kaniva atm so he won't spend as much time with them over winter.

To about 13!!
Could be a long, development year for the Buffs. Some gaping holes with the experience lost.
Not the worst thing for a club to go through though. The Gullies and East Torrens had quite young teams for a while and have come good. Just needs a bit of patience. Few kids Valente, Voigt, Cormack go alright
This is Tony Clifton! A name to respect! A name to fear!
Big losses in Lenthall/Francis but still have Raphael and Neate looks ok. Valente will dominate grade cricket for the next 5 or 6 years, lets hope SACA have learnt from Chadd Sayers and that if you can take wickets you don't have to be 6ft4, bowl 140 km/per hr or come from interstate to make an impact at 1st Class level.....

Certainly they would have, he will only have to spend a good 5-6 years taking 50 poles a year, win a Bradman, change his passport to Victorian born, then he might have a chance.

Er no, Have already been training for a month as I'm going to England for a month to play 11 games. Unless Clarkey needs some back up I will be back in time for official pre season

You seem to know more than me at the moment.....
Mr Clarke will need lots of help I think, anyone who thinks they are half a chance is over there playing county / club cricket, just ensure he has your mobile number. Going to any test venues?

Yeah got tickets to day 4 at Trent Bridge. Also going to the Worcester tour match. Should be good fun, plenty of pints and some cricket

Left field TS, hasn't been around the club scene for some time, did a bit with Sleepy at Perti for a few nights. The Teacher will do well, good appointment.

Eagles in the hunt for a young batsman from Qld and a promising young quick by all reports.
Hoping we have some players left at Henley. Losses of James Smith, Warrick Stanborough, Andrew Haslett, Dan Cullen and Jack Pudney (amongst others) will leave holes that will be hard to fill.
BP2, where is Dan Cullen going? Had heard rumour he was going to take over as A Grade captain.
Massive exodus of players, reason? Premier League or new coach?
Heard they only got one application for Head Coach, so hard to blame anyone, maybe a sign of the times with the more highly credentialled coaches opting for the Premier League.
The Jack Pudney one is interesting, the Club went out of their way to help him, "gifted" him an A Grade game when he had not bowled for months with a back injury, then he treats them like this.
Very common now for players like Jack to demand higher grades or they will leave, the Club is always bigger than the individual, but the last couple of years they have certainly made several "selections" due to this reason. Hopefully this is the last straw and in future they are told to perform or rack off!
