I have to say you Port Adelaide people (go read your own forum TPFP) have nothing but self interest in this debate as you have shown since you tried to back door the SANFL back in 1990 yet you expect us not to respond to defend our own turf! Again that just underlines what most of us non Port people think - your selfish, self serving and self centred!

What you forget is that your club came from the SANFL and no matter how much you think you are owed because of your crowds and dominance over the journey, the League was for decades 8 clubs then then 10 clubs for 4 decades not a one club league of Port Adelaide alone as you would have us believe. All of our clubs contributed not just the PAFC. Is that not too hard a concept to get your selfish little minds around?

I believe this is the model that the Magpies Country Zone is working on as well. Just need to work out which remaining clubs get it though....

It will be a very sad day for the SANFL teams if their own locally produced players ie Petrenko, Vince, Smith, Broadbent, Salter, et
all are forced to play against their original teams. Has any one done a survey on how those SA grown players fell about the coming situation. Me thinks other activities are looking extremely possible other than following a compromised competition

There was discussion on this model on the 5AA Sports Show Saturday morning led by Rucci. Despite what we have thought of his aritcles / suggestions in the past he has got this right and this model is the only possible option in regards to having AFL Reserves Teams stay in an SA Based Comp. The only issue I have with him and with David Wildy on Saturday morning was their continual insistence that the Commission plus the AFL Clubs themselves should have a say in the final decision. I am glad that it is only the 8 League clubs that get the ultimate say as it is our comp that will be affected one way or another with any change.

Centrals could also do better work in their area. The BL&G league is a very good standard of football but I know there are plenty of kids at my club and others either refuse to go down or come back after a few weeks due to their treatment down there. There is kids playing A grade football in the league who for one reason or another have turned their back on Centrals or have been let go

I'm referring mainly to the local competition, which USED to be very strong & full of kids, but now parts of Salisbury North & Salisbury aren't in Our zone.........for now
