An absolute beauty of a game (considering the conditions) at Hamley Bridge yesterday. Mallala showed again the value of most of its players having been together for some time. Their confidence to put the ball to a team mate dropping into a hole or squaring across the ground was much better than Hamley's. IMO this was the the only difference between the two sides. The Bomber boys often ignored a free player across the field, preferring the safety of going down the line, which meant the ball often came back. Mark me - there is still improvement to come from the Bomber group......

Jason earl moved like an old fossil dick  Taylor done his elbow from doing 698 dont argues and will be unavailable for association unfortunately. tom would was worst dressed before the game and belonged at the mars bar. all round was a good game in those kind of conditons. hamley still got a few to come back in. and was good to see rimmer buy a drink after the game. def hurt him putting his hand in his pocket

Is about as stiff as an old fossil dick today so I'm told...

Despite the conditions it was a great match. The wet conditions nulled the influence of both teams key forwards with the execption of of big Gus Bruggers who managed 4 sausages, so the game was played between the arcs mainly. Thought the magpies played the conditions really well and showed a bit when the bombers came at them in the 3rd qtr. Feel sorry for the groundsman at HB this week, the surface was destroyed in some areas.

Not too many players can play at their best every week you peanut. You'd have no idea of the money he is on, and as to whether or not he earnt it. The fact is when clubs pay players, like every club does, those clubs and any one with half a football brain would realise that every player has quiet days. happens in every sport at every level. Bagging blokes on an internet forum is pretty courageous stuff

The steakie that Pres Newt dished up was sensational. Unparalleled in country footy and a mile in front of the crap served up in town. Steak, bacon, egg, onion and fresh salad for $5.50. I know I'm crapping on, but it was seriously that good. In fact, I reckon they should charge a few dollars more so they could extend the veranda such that more than twenty people can stay dry when it's p!ssing down all day.

Good win by the Pies, but can't gauge anything on the result except that come finals Big Bruggas is going to be a handful.

Retired at the end of last year. Played when Virginia was short I reckon.

Div 7 club coming into the APFL would get beaten heavily every week. If there willing for some short term pain then I wouldn't be against them coming in
