His Kids are playing there ATM and a lot of Brothers play there, very good player off the half back and in the middle, will run amok in Div 7 considering APFL is about Div 2-3 standard, he did play juniors at Woodville/West Torrens

Angle Vale.

should bring them into the APFL

Makes great sense. They're just down the road from Virginia and Two Wells, so geographically consistent. The growing population there means they'll be better than Div 7 sooner rather than later, and they're currently sitting third on that ladder. The club would have to be shown there is a benefit to the move, to induce it to play in the APFL, but bearing in mind the Owls currently have Henley, Broadview and Flinders Uni in their league, the reduced travelling time might be enough! Definitely worth a question from the APFL executive.......

I'd be more inclined to go further north into the country than further south into the outer suburban areas.

Juniors are already a problem for country clubs arent they???

So surely for the long term future if the change was to be made, it would be Angle Vale.
What other Country Comp would want to lose a team to their current format?

one would think you would go for an established club for stabbilization, why create another club that could be a GWS sort of team who never wins and become easy beats for years, would be good for the comp and no byes either

Spot on OS.
The urban sprawl will push the APFL north into another league. Into the future, where buckland park, two wells, virginia etc. carry big population (10,000 +), they will be suburbs of Adelaide.
These demographics will have to be soaked up by the Divisions, as they will not be the 'family orientated country ' sports people that we often take for granted in country footy and netball.

Country population is generally stable (albeit in gentle decline), whereas the strong growth in the northern suburbs requires too much flexibility with sporting needs.

I'd prefer the drive to Clare where netball and football co-exist rather than put up with burbarians.

I love the country footy also, I do think that Angle Vale could cater for football and netball and is on the outskirt of the burbs, it would be good to get rid of the bye also.
I think they could be beneficial for the APFL as long as they can keep a clean slate and follow the guidelines set from the existing clubs.

Whats the problem if Angle Vale came in wouldnt they get maximum points? Hamley will loose their points so they wont be able to hold onto imports, current imports will move back closer to town Angle Vale becomes the new Hamley. etc etc

Lets not go any further south. We're close enough as it is.

I agree. Why dont we kick Two Wells out and bring back the Pink Panthers?

I'm just back from a great night in Canberra at the AFL Hall of Fame - topped off a great career with the nomination and induction.
