Lets not go any further south. We're close enough as it is.

I agree. Why dont we kick Two Wells out and bring back the Pink Panthers?

Some of you may have heard Sam Rowland did his ACL on the weekend playing for Eagles reserves.

Apparently it was just a medial strain.

Which club are you going to take from North? RSMU? MinMan? Paskeville? (The closest ones to APFL) They are a lot further away in distance from Balak than Angle Vale is from Virginia and they ain't going to shift from their respective comps. The point about preserving country footy is valid but the league can police the disciplinary side of it (though to my knowledge Angle Vale hasn't had issues) Angle Vale just fits better.
p.s. When the Greater Adelaide Development Plan takes effect and Roseworthy is a town of 40 000 people, the Pink Panthers will be back!

My Crystal Ball 10 years on..

Longies and Hamley drop of the perch when the economics to run a club goes beyond the pockets of a few locals
Virgina and Two Wells go south through sheer weight of numbers - mainly young kids (6-14)
Mallala, Balaklava and HWE (just) survive and merge with NEFL

NEFL lose one or two teams (E/Rob plus another)

A ten team comp called Lower North. No team changes colours or names (except maybe HWE if they are still in).

I don't think travel is an issue for country people, as is York and NAFA.

Buckland park has been approved as a Major Project.

A DPA has been approved for a three fold increase in the population of Hamley Bridge...thus making our town a throbbing metropolis :D

A DPA has been submitted for the town of Two Wells for a similar increase to that of Hamley.

Roseworthy as we know is set to expand.

Hopefully all this growth helps the league in general.

I'll have crack

Two Wells & Virginia gobbled up by the urban sprawl.

Angle Vale joins the league

APFL becomes 8 team comp, similar in coverage to Southern League, but with less teams.

Two Wells, Angle Vale, Virginia suburbs of greater Adelaide metro, other teams as they are now still in rural settings.

Hamley to grow due to something throbbing .....

.

Will be great for the bridge to become a throbbing metropolis! Haven't heard the words hamley bridge and throb in the same sentence since the blonde heart throb jobby burgess was putting on clinics down there!

Association side picked tonight. On paper looks great. But fair to say it has a few "questionable" players. And by that I mean clearly injured and most likely to be unable to actually play. Lets hope there are no suspensions to come out of this, it would be disappointing, as I'm sure the "questionable" guys were forcefully picked by the league, and not the coach who would have wanted a fit and firing side.

Somehow I think the boys might like the weekend off footy before they clash against each other in the round following association.
