Agreed but it's actually a half decent team.

With Yi Jianlian not playing I would expect that Boomers team to sweep the series or maybe drop 1 of the 2 games in China they should win both here. The advantage they have over us is their national team is usually always pretty set and they play together a lot during the offseason but this Boomers team is superior talent wise individually.

Surprising result especially here but you're not going to win too many games shooting 31% from the field and 11% on 3p. Hopefully some payback on Sunday afternoon.

Wang showed there is still some life left in those legs!

Game 1

China 61 (Wang Zhi-Zhi 17) def Australia 55 (Petrie 10)

China lead the series 1-0

Somewhat surprising but the Perth Wildcats have announced they've released former 36er Everard Bartlett from the final year of his contract.

Me too but I suppose with Muo's signing it made Bartlett a bit redundant.

Good news for the second half of the Boomers/China series Yi Jianlian is supposedly going to be playing for them tonight as the series shifts to China for Games 3 & 4.

I didn't see the game but according to reports the chinese refs were trying their best to get the home side over the line (as usual) so not sure if that affected the standard, supposedly the Boomers heads really dropped when that started in the final quarter.

Yi Jianlian didn't play after all.

Game 3

Australia 68 (Petrie 14, Goulding 13, Nevill 12) def China 65

Australia lead the series 2-1

Some of the calls were very questionable.

Over turning calls that were obvious etc.
