Only 2 squads that took the whole zone championships seriously!

Southern treated it like a joke, and the Barossa section of the Eastern zone certainly picked the "only slightly above average" footballers.

Purely just a pissup weekend now

What do you expect when the knobs who run our league dont schedule a bye that weekend.
Most clubs are fighting for finals spots and require our better players at club level.
I know plenty of clubs are pissed at losing players for a meaningless association game

Thanks to all the Mallala lads who came down to support our footy club on Saturday, was great to have you blokes there and in the changerooms and clubrooms after the game, was much appreciated. Rest assured when we get a chance to repay the favour we will (possibly GF day).

Joel Montgomerie, Caleb Howell and Angus Bruggemann all in the state country squad. Outstanding effort.

Joel was also in team of the carnival.

While you're answering that OS, can you confirm that Lubke is the coach? I think it's in WA this year - do you have dates?
Magpieeagle - did you put your hand up to assist as trainer? You could tie in a West Coast game while you're there :D

I haven't got the full squad sadly.

Stretch Walker was selected as a state trainer, the game in WA is in three weeks. Lubcke to coach

This isn't the State side, just the team of the carnival.

Team of the carnival is the state country squad I'd say given that they name 25 blokes it's how it's always been done. Give or take a few names depending on injury and availability for the game on the 27th in Perth. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

There were players added to the team of the carnival to form the squad.
