a race between the 5,8.
the 8 is undefeated in 5 starts and is a quick beginner who handles a wide draw. I think it can lead
the 5 is a real classy animal, is fair out of boxes but not consistently brilliant, as is the #8. the #5 will be charging hard once balanced up.
these 2 on paper should really blitz this field

SA heats of the National Distance Championship are on at Angle Park Tonight.
They will be races 3 and 5 on the card and have fixed price betting available.

Race 3 Heat 1 731mtr
1. Shady Tree - Draw suits and can be in the leading brigade, recent form over the distance is only fair and tonight he will struggle to match these. exotic F4 hope at best. ($34 and $5.75)
2. Cousin Callum - Has early pace to burn and really motors to the back section, Is getting on a bit and main issue with him will the last 100mtr. Due to the draw of the 3 dog a place looks best. ($5.00 and $1.58)
3. Kalden Mayhem - Best credentials and is a strong chaser, shoud lob 3rd or 4th here and over run them in the latter stages. Is a monty for the place and likely winner. ($1.70 and $1.10)
4. Mclaren Grace - Young up and comer with ability but will struggle to be in the finish here, does chew up the ground late though. Put in F4s. ($26 and $4.60)
5. Deyna - Has shown form at the Gawler trip, but like alot of dogs isn't suited to the different surface of Angle Park. A place would surprise. ($11 and $2.45)
6. Allen Bardolf - Has built a record over this trip on monday nights against lower class dogs, If he makes the final will be making up the numbers. Place at best tonight though. ($10 and $2.30)
7. Uno Lesson - If this dog had an early speed whatsoever i'd say it would be a big chance to win, but he just gets too far back! Expect him to jump last and Rocket home to finish in the first 4s. Get on place at odds. ($10 and $2.30)
8. Dyna Aline - Railer not drawn well here, likes to lead and goes well when it does, tonight will test. ($10 and $2.30)

Race 5 Heat 2 731mtr
1. Dyan Daina - Red draw suits and deserves being favoruite here, has alot of early pace and gets the ok. Place bet is money for jam! ($2.50 and $1.24)
2. Max a Zillion - First time over the distance and comes up against a few smart ones, if it is in the leading brigade it might just stay on, but i expect this one to be near the back of the field come race end. F4 at best. ($13 and $2.95)
3. Crimson Star - Recent form suggest he will struggle in this event and it will be a surprise if he can make it through. I'd suggest stay off this one. ($26 and $5)
4. Valarie Allen - Is a bit hit or miss at the start and is also stepping up to the trip for the first time, finishing in the top 4 looks unlikely. ($21 and $4.20)
5. Prince Holyfield - Has shown ability over the trip and i expect him to be right in this towards then end, don't think it can win, but a place wouldn't surprise. ($9 and $2.30)
6. Miss Woods - My girl is a consistent performer over the T/D and can really give this race a shake, coming back off a spell, but has impressed when trialling. I expect her to be in the leading brigade early and with any luck will be running over the top at the end. Good value if she gets the luck. ($2.75 and $1.28)
7. Sheza Ten - Wide runner well suited in the 7 box, shows decent pace and runs the trip well, can knock off the favourites and the place odds are defenately worth having a crack at, I expect a strong showing from this one. ($5 and $1.65)
8. Delightful Bond - Old timer who may have done his dash in past runs over the trip, doesn't win overly often and I don't expect him to here either, Draw is also unsuitable. ($26 and $5)

1 - 9 - will get a good run through, I expect this to be in the first couple and win, the 6 will be charging home. the 5 cant win

2 - 2 just LAW

3 - 3 beats 2 with 7,8,6 looking to battle out the first four

4 - 2 - I like the look of it from the draw, the 6 is the obvious danger and then its out to the 3

5 - 6 just beats the 1 and then the 7

6 - 2 to LAW and the 3 to sit second. prepared to risk the 5 as a winning hope

7 - interesting race the hopes are 7,1,6,8,4

8 - 5 - should lead. the 1 is drawn nicely. the 7 is down graded, the 8 is well suited out wide and the 6 is freshened up with a couple of runs since returning from NSW for a stint

popped into Angle Park yesterday

the stairs were filthy, obvioulsly they don't have cleaners

they still had a whiteboard for Tinys Triple M punting syndicate with the bets still up

the bonus was seeing Ernie win in a flying 29-66

but what was also a good promotion which If I realised I would've gone down for race 1, was the bookie on track had a $50 free bet and you had to only have a losing bookie ticket with your name on it. the bad part of this promotion, is I never heard it marketed, promoted anywhere...........perhaps I missed something

AG has very good races of the sprint championships and we have a tri jackpot which is on the race with Ernie Bung Arrow

Surely another more open race would've been a better option
