Sporting Pulse is what it is.

Not only, as mentioned previously, coaches dont put in their actual selections to through other teams off.

But it depends on how club B&F's a scored. 3 cards of 3-2-1. 5 cards of 5-4-3-2-1 etc...
If a club only gives 3-2-1, a bloke may be in the best every week on Sporting Pulse but is the 4th 5th or 6th best in each of those, then the possibility is he may not even poll in the B&F, yet has been in the best every week.

With multiple cards, obviously the coach doesnt have all 3 cards, so average Joe spectator may see it 100% differently to the coach anyway.

So while it provide some indication, B&F's are always an intereesting outcome.

I wonder if every League Medal winner has won their club B&F? I know not every brownlow winner has...

On that, OS, surely you have seen the invite list for medal count (is it this weekend?) by now, want to narrow down the list of potential winners for us please

Yep. Will be 5 in a row. Only another 8 more B&F's will be needed to pass his old man.

I am away this week, so no idea on invitations. I stand by my Pym call a few months ago.

Also like King, Taylor, Montgomerie and Howell as other contenders.

Not sure if the league has looked after the top 2 with this years finals draw.
The winner of two wells v Virginia gets a 14 day rest before playing the loser of Mallala v Hamley who will be coming of a 7 day rest. Assuming both games are hard and physical the extra 7 days rest could prove to be decisive.

Purely a monetary decision i've been told. The 4 week finals system has been used in many leagues for some time now, with league officials scared the attendance numbers would be down for 1st semi finals on sundays.

But the benefit of finishing top 2 is largely ineffective now.

The season started earlier due to early Easter allowing both a Zone match bye and four week finals.

Also, for some mystical reason (probably based on weather, club participation etc.), the past Sunday finals have drawn bigger crowds than the preceeding Saturday game (only slightly though).

The benefit is pretty clear, teams get a second chance if they have a bad day.
