Ah so that's the reason we (Penfield) have been scheduled round 1 @ Banksia Park High School, I hope more work goes into that oval this year as it wasn't fantastic last time we played there. But its the same for both teams I guess
I would say so mate, I think its either Banksia Park High or Modbury High. Both have pro's and cons thats for sure. TTG used to play their U16s at Banksia High back in the day and it used to be a nightmare , its much better than it was (well looks like it - not sure how it plays though)
Will be garbage as in the past. No disrespect. Throw in the sprinklers coming on during school holidays on Friday nights. Will be plenty of issues no doubt. Good luck.
I remember rocking up to Banksia Park High to play quite a few years ago and they had the old Victa mower out on the pitch. Concerns were heightened when the mower got bogged in the footmarks on the crease line and dirt and all sorts of stuff was sent flying into the air. Made 50 odd that day
I'm hearing Goodwood are getting an Overseas player next Thursday. Very young but plenty of talent to show, probably won't start in the 1's but should be there by the seasons end. Hopefully the flat decks down here don't break him....

Surely if he is an oversees player that has some ability he starts in the 1s in Adelaide Turf ?

Who said he was?
Fair few recruits heading out Goodwood way. Seems Hooch has you guys heading in the right direction!
Speaking of recruiting, seems PAOCCC are doing a little of their own:
PAOCCC are looking for scorer for their A1 Premier Grade team for the 2013-14 season. The role would suit a junior cricketer or retired cricket lover.
The role includes a cash honorarium of $80 per day. Please contact Brad Weidenhofer on 0421 521 615 if you are interested.
Agreed Plumb. I know a few didn't like what he had to say but why they couldn't just skip his posts is beyond me. It's not like he made heaps of them anyway. Now the rest of us miss out!!!
Anyway, on to matters at hand, how are the wickets looking for this weekend? Will the few showers forecast for tommorrow cause problems or are most confident they'll be right?

Put the mother chuckers on if it looks like rain especially if your chasing 300 week two or you be labeled cheats. Simple.

Well I think in simple terms if you have them and don't use them you forfeit the game.
That's the gist of it, but you also have to let the turf know you have them, otherwise when they cancel all games yours will get cancelled as well.
