Long way to go for sure, but can only beat who's put in front of you so thus far they've done very well (win against Tottingham pretty useful too).

Given (to varying degrees) Man City, Utd and Chelsea are giving a few teams a start, could be a nice mad scramble by season's end.

Torres I can handle as I know what I am getting with him and even if he is not scoring he has improved other aspects of his game. Ba did the job he was needed to do last season and should of either been sent on his way in the off season or been told he would of been 3rd choice. Eto'o is the biggest waste of a human (have thought this for years) and is now the biggest waste of money I would of preferred going with Torres, Lukaku and Ba this season. Michael Emenalo needs a slap for allowing Lukaku out on loan, Jose needs a slap for signing eto'o and for allowing Lukaku out loan, I actually hope Everton finish top and Lukaku bags a truck load and eto'o sits on the bench and does nothing so then maybe our club will learn to play our F**KING youth players instead of just buying fix it jobs all the F**KING time......RANT OVER!

This makes me so happy. Plastic club

Plastic club, you guys are top and all of sudden you have found your voice haven't you got traffic to go play in.

You've bought everything you've won from 2003 onwards. Without Roman you'd still be a nothing club. Chelsea pretty much started the ridiculous spending which made them so much stronger but now that's it brought you down with the rest your whinger now. I never lost my voice I would of laughed at you even if we weren't top. EAD Chelsea

Seeing that I was a Chelsea fan well before Roman came along (if you must know Ian Portifiled was in charge) and I loved them then I could careless about who and what was bought. Bought us down?? No I am upset we let a player go out on loan who shouldn't be and upset that a player was bought who shouldn't be buts it ok I'm sure you only knew Arsenal where around in 02/03, do you even know who George Graham is?
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

it had nothing to do with when you started supporting Chelsea. I'm under no illusion that had Roman not purchased Chelsea your team would be mediocre.
Oh George Graham was manager before Wenger. You shouldn't assume things. My support for arsenal is due to being a Dennis Bergkamp fan which arised from my first soccer experience of the 1998 world cup.

98? you mean after you guys had one things oh bandwagoner (see how stupid those payouts are).......also you would be wrong Chelsea's revolution had started under Glenn Hoddle and then continued under Guliit, Vialli (we almost won the title) and Claudio who qualifyed us for the Champions league becasue before all that we where struggling in as a bit of a yoyo club. Would we won as much as we have...probs not but we wouldn't of just be mediocre, we probs would of been a good cup wining team who every now and then would challenge for the title but in reality no of that matters as what is done now. hate us all you want I dont care but if you want to insult someone for spending huge cash (more than us) and winning feck all i believe they are another club in north london

I don't recall calling you a bandwagon but whatever. I'm far from being a bandwagon. My favourite player played for Arsenal so I think it makes sense. I never said I hate Chelsea I just like seeing them lose. Tottenham will always win feck all.

The way it's going at present there's 6 teams that are vying for the top 4. One would suspect that Man U will start winning. Should be a good season

I personally am loving how this season is shaping up, would almost go as far as saying it is currently the most open race for the EPL ever.

After Il Duce's little rant about playing Youth players I was interested in how much Youth team football Lukaku had played for the Chavs'. Answer: **** all, but I did notice this little gem that maybe sheds light on why he is out on loan...

"Lukaku stressed, however, that he was disappointed with his involvement at the end of his debut season, revealing that, after his side's UEFA Champions League win on 19 May, he refused to hold the trophy as he didn't feel like a winner.[10]"

After reading that I am convinced John Terry wanted him out!

I would like to see him realise that he is better off elsewhere and want away at the end of the year permanently.

biggest surprise this season already guys?

I would say the mancs. I always stated they weren't world beaters, but the other teams last season were so woeful. It is now showing
if they don't get anything from the black cats this weekend, then I can say moyes will be gone over the inter weekend next weekend

Is it just a matter of time til Fergie see's the season out at the helm?

And yup, they would be my biggest surprise .. IMHO they can still win it, but can't afford to drop too many points from here in.
