Tyler is just one of the BIG signings. I also hear they have signed another Key Forward who kicked 90 goals in the country which was referred to earlier.

Are you kidding? Terrible surface, like a paddock mostly sand. Visitors rooms are terrible, separate toilet.....at least the showers are hot.

Flagstaff Hill Football Club position vacant for 2014:
* B Grade Coach*

Current SFL B grade premiers and with back to back Under 18 premiership players filtering through, this is a huge opportunity.

FHFC are still calling for registrations of interest for the B Grade coaching position.
From meetings we have already had, I know that there are quite a few people within the Club who are interested. But we are still seeking interest/applications from people outside the club who are keen to fill this role.

If you are interested please call Rod Mitchell on 0427 580 219
OR
Email Brett Charlesworth at brett@charlesworthnuts.com.au

EDIT- this position has been filled. Cheers!

Chris Minns is pre-season training with Glenelg. Chris was Glenelg junior & u19 Captain in 2007.
He has talent to burn, and as others have said, could have played almost anywhere in local leagues for big $$.
I'm a big fan, and wish him well

Minns will prove to be a good sanfl player if he sticks it out, has speed, skill and sheer talent to burn.
The $hoes seem to be in tatters and falling apart from all angles. if i have heard correctly on who they have appointed Vice Pres, they must be kidding themselves! Players have also been signing elsewhere after no contact when the club expected them to stay on.
Could see the shoes slide in 2014.

Heard also that Porties are dangling big carrots to a few a players from GSFL???

The 2 Spencely boys from Hackham (ex-Emus) also out at the Bays pre-season.

I think some of the doomsdayers talking down clubs for losing players should stop and think that footy at our level is more than just about challenging for a flag every year. It makes me sick to read some of the other forums where it is all about who is going where, who is chasing who and how much money is being offered etc.

Brighton went through a loss of player situation last season and even though we had our poorest year on-field for many years (still only 1 kick from making it to the 2nd week of finals), the camaraderie around the club and the bonding between the young senior players and more experienced players was outstanding. Most weeks the A grade played with no points or negative points and we got some A grade footy into some young lads who may have had to wait alot longer for their chance. If our current group brings us success in the future then this will mean so much more than assembling a team of $$$ recruits playing below the level they should be.

So good luck to a club like Noarlunga who seem to be going down a similar path. They have some quality 16 to 20 year olds who I'm sure will become the core of their A grade in 3 or 4 years from now. Like Brighton, they just have to ride out a bit of pain and stay focussed on the bigger picture rather than allow any off-field ego's wanting instant success but actually set the club up for years of pain down the track. Just look at Mt Lofty in the HFL.

Yes. good luck to him, is an absolute gun and has every weapon to be a major success at Tigers. Would love to see him at the SFL level still, but can't hold back players from trying to be their absolute best.
