Onkas v Fliders was a cracker. Fast, electric skillful game where Onkas made the most of their chances and got the chocolates. One unfortunate incident but that can happen and to the credit of both teams an explosive situation was controlled as both teams showed discipline when it would have been easy to over react. The new flinders are great to watch and full credit must go to Dale and Val for the culture they are creating and the improvement in their club. For the first time in years they play good disciplined Gaelic every week. Having said that Onkas are the team to beat. They have got some deadly footballers and move the ball beautifully.
The Port v WI game will go down as the most disappointing game I have reffed. Port worked there ass off and battled to earn a draw as WI squandered maybe a dozen second half chances with the breeze. Somehow the ref became the reason for the comeback which I find pathetic. The tirade of abuse during and after the game was the worst I have copped. No less than 5 players were lucky to escape without red cards. I hate giving red cards but calling the ref " A ******* disgrace" post game and making a be line to tell a ref " your the first ref whose hand I will refuse to shake". All I can say is shame on you. Whilst it's not fair to bag the club. The 5 individuals should be ashamed of themselves, you let down yourself, your club and the game down. To the rest of the club i say bad luck on the draw and apologise if you think you had a rough deal. To those 5 I say. I have reffed over 500 games and from all unbiased reports did an ok job. Between the 5 of you not one game reffed ever. One thing is for sure , next time I won't be giving the benefit of the doubt as your attack on me was "The disgrace" and not my attempt to do my job.

Yea that guy is a gun, 50 games is a reasonable effort in Gaelic footy with few games each season (in comparison to footy). I think you'll find that he was at a D1 club this year though too WW
