Re: The future of West Adelaide.
if you steal a car, and then give it back to the owner, you are still charged with illegal use....
now that west supposedly have all the money back, whats stopping them going to the police now? personally it would be the first thing i would do after the cheque cleared.

Yes I must remember that if I choose to rob a bank.

Re: The future of West Adelaide.
No need for 'allegedly' when quoting the press release/news story. In those, there is a definite misappropriation, 'unauthorised removal' of funds, and 'fraudulent activity'. No doubt about it. Admitted 'misappropriator', which is probably near enough to 'thief' that you'll get away with that word too.Booney wrote:Brodlach wrote:Where does it say Allegedly Booney?
It doesn't, I was referring to my comments and me not saying "allegedly". All the way through this, despite the public knowledge, "allegedly" has been bandied about. Clearly that is no longer the case.
However, you'll notice that there is a big omission in the press release and news story. No-one is named.
Anyone going further and naming a name, would very definitely need to attach an "allegedly" to it. And if you got the name wrong, even that might not save you.

Re: The future of West Adelaide.
I still cant fathom why he has not been charged....are westies trying to hide something???
Maybe they are afraid of him dredging up some things that have not come out....the safe for instance. Oh and the fire maybe.
Just a thought.

Re: The future of West Adelaide.
The safe was stolen long before this person began working at the club.
This message has popped up on the West Facebook page today;
To clarify to the Members who have express concerns;
This matter WAS reported to SAPOL upon initial discovery of the misuse of funds, with the outcome of the police investigation no longer in the hands of the Club.
As most realise, our resources at the Club are very limited, and it is now time for us to focus them on what counts the most, winning games.
We appreciate your support and hope to see you for the 2014 season.
Go Bloods!.

A fair enough comment by West too and good that they're making it clear to their members.

Too bad it's not true. No doubt police would have asked how would you like this matter handled.

The first line is completely incorrect Brodlach. The person in question to the other incident was working at the club at the time of the safe being stolen..

Re: The future of West Adelaide.
Good to see the same old boys club at West Lakes who've protected West through their continued salary cap infractions continue to look after them with the forthcoming AFL game between The Crowz and The Po'er.
Does the catering revenue get split between the other seven SANFL clubs?

Are the other 7 clubs doing anything towards the day?

Norwood use to host the Crows in a preseason game at The Parade, pretty sure they didn't give any of the takings to the other SANFL clubs. Neither should Westies for this game.
If other clubs whine about it maybe they should approach the Crows and Power (or AFL) about holding a preseason game at their oval and make some extra cash.

Thought the deck at Richmond looked real good for the Crows v Power trial game.
