SAAFL must be different to country footy in that there is trial by video, we dont have trial by video in the country. I wouldnt have thought that there is trial by video, especially in division 4 & footage taken from one club? I could be wrong though.

Do you guys tape all your games or was this just a special occasion?

Great effort by your boys on the weekend Heater, its made the competition even more interesting.
What was the main reason for such an improved effort ? Players back, or do you think Haven were off there game slightly? It would be interesting to hear a Haven blokes side of things too.

a couple of guys in our A's are studying cinematography and brought out their camera and enough film to film the whole match first game this year. These boys mentioned some things that we were doing wrong to the coach and he has asked for this practice to be continued even at away games. Yesterday it has found a new use and I think it will continue.

We don't expect it to be used as evidence in tribunal hearings, I think a copy will be forwarded to the league to highlight how gutless both the North Haven player in question and the umpire who did bugger all about the situation by the sounds of it.

Felch,

Some teams really struggle to play our ground at times and yesterday was no exception, still had a one or two out from our best side and were really switched on. Hopefully this will make some of them realise that they need to get their fingers out, do the right things and who knows where we will end up. The real test is if we can follow up this performance in the next few weeks

blood was drawn???
any idea who was the perosn that caused it
i dont believe legal action should be taken off the field
everyone knows there is a risk of injury in the game
all that should happen is the player responsible
should be dealt the neccesary consequence!!!!

Like I said before I didn't see the incident nor have I seen the video of it either, the legal advice thing is dinkum as of around 5.15pm Saturday afternoon when I last heard of it. If there is talk of legal action then it must have been an unprovoked attack and just plain stupidity on the alleged offender's behalf.

I only got to see the last quarter and our guy who copped it was standing at FF but where he was at the time of the incident I have no idea, I think that is what the main issue is about that the field umpires did nothing about it and we have the video to prove it.

are you saying that the incident was unprovoked or is that what you are taking from the club looking at legal action?

what do you call unprovoked? if someone was to say something to you would you call that unprovoked? the guy from pultney, is he saying that it was unprovoked?

When Legal advice was mentioned I gathered that it was unprovoked it it must have been serious for this type of discussion to occur

Fisty, I don't know all I know is that it is been looked into further like you say nothing may not eventuate out of it but it is being looked at. It could be a simple case of a please explain from the umpiring department and nothing else
