Game over in the A1 game between ango and gv. Ango bowled out for 98 and gilbert valley passed it 3 down, stumps pulled with ten overs to go in the day.

Freeling made 183 vs kapunda in the other A1 game

Lyndoch A1r absolutely smash Nuri.

wouldnt be fair if they go on and win next week but nuri goes up imo.

was interesting that the top two teams both got destroyed in this grade.

Everyone knows the rules at start of season.
The best side of the year deserves to go up, not a side who scrapes into the 4 and has a couple of good games in the finals.
Looking like some cracker GF's next week though

Completely differant situation.
We are talking about who is best to handle themselves in A1's next year.
From what ive seen this year Lyndoch would be a laughing stock in A1's.
Nuri obviously had a bad weekend but I still think they would acquit themselves far better in the 1's than the other Ressie sides

In all fairness,Tanunda were second most of the yr 90%,and deserved to win the way they did,was always going to be who won the toss up there as it was a bowling strip early before drying out,and they used it very well.

Whats everyones tips for the finals;
A1; Freeling vs GVCC - I think Freeling but could really go either way. If I was a betting man I would bet on any pub in the district making a killing from these 2 clubs no matter what the result.
A1 res; Lyndoch vs Tanunda - Lyndoch, massive win last week by the Lyndoch boys, 3 GFs in a row Matt robbo to guide them home.
A2; Ango vs Gawler Centrals- GC to win this one I think been the better team all year so deserve to be a favourite. Will be interesting to see if Brett woodards could get his back good enough to bowl a couple of overs to provide some x factor.
A3; Lights Pass vs Greenock; Greenock, lights pass to crumble like last year and facebook to explode, Association reps to enforce social media policy.
A4; Lyndoch vs Tanunda; I think Tanunda mainly so the flags get spread around as I have no idea.
A5; GV vs Morgan; good to see the new club to make the GF, but GV to win this one easy, old man busch to go beserk tiping 6's everywhere.

A2- Ango Central have been smashed by Ango both times they have played this year
A3- Greenock, Light Pass perennial chokers at this level
A4- Tanunda

Agree on most points, apart from GC to win 2's. First game of year (can't read much into that) and you won the other by three runs, hardly a smashing Days? GC been unstoppable after Xmas.

Days just quick one, was the a permit granted to lights pass a5s? I know it didn't effect the result but a lad played, that had played every game bar one in the A3s? Not having a go at anyone at this at all, just asking the question. as if it wasn't washed out and lights pass got up what would happen.

The rule is pretty black and white in the bylaws. I'm not sure why you're asking the question.
The clue is that LP has consecutive grades in finals, so anyone qualified for 3's could play either grade. From memory there were quite a few clubs that did similar over the weekend.

I was asking the question because I didn't know the answer. I actually thought that you had to have all grades in the finals to be able for someone to go down, but obviously I am wrong.

Thanks for the answer but you don't have to be a knob about it. Like I said in my first comment it didn't effect the result but was wondering what the implications were.

We played 6 U16s that day and only scored 3 runs in the last 2 overs after passing their score.
Will have a couple back from the A grade this week and Woodards fit and very keen to bowl
