Not watching a replay of Premiership success from the team(s) you support...

No deal, I just find it interesting that you haven't re-lived the joy that those days brought you by watching the games back. I suspect you'd be in a small minority of fans that hasn't watched their Premiership success back...

Waddyamean?
I'm just curious as to why someone wouldn't want to watch a Premiership replay of a team they support...
Don't you find that a little odd?
You're right, though. These few posts are taking it off the topic at hand. I will continue my in-depth questioning of TSG via a PM...

Apparently the ABC commentators never knew the names of one single SANFL player during the twenty odd years they telecast the league.
Great to see someone who's getting paid 'money' to do a 'job' doing the tough yards though.
John Casey we salute you.

From the SANFL twitter account earlier tonight...
@SANFLnews wrote:The @Ch7Adelaide #SANFL match of the round will be available to watch the following day on the SANFL website this season.
1. This seems to be confirmation that SANFL won't be broadcast nationally on 7 Mate. (Even though asking for a national live broadcast of SANFL was probably a stretch, I would have thought there's no reason not to do the ABC 2013 thing of 7 Mate replaying it nationally at, e.g., 2:30am on Tuesday—I suppose there's still a small chance they might do this.)
2. Not available on the 'net live.
The good:
1. If they really do get it on the site the next day, without fail, they'll be doing a fair bit better than ABC iView which (even though it stepped up its game late in the piece) would regularly not load matches until Tue/Wed night.
2. It's free? (Sure, the tweet doesn't say it's free, but I'm guessing 'cos equally it doesn't say that it costs.)
The unknown:
1. How long will each game stay up for?
2. Will it only be streaming, or will it be possible to download the games? (iTunes style, for later viewing on devices that aren't in a wi-fi area and are either offline, or have a 'net speed too dodgy for streaming.)
Seeing that $ has been a big issue in getting this TV deal up, I was thinking/hoping that they'd try to get another revenue stream going by saying 'if you're not in the broadcast area, you can watch the SANFL match of the round live on the internet on a PPV basis'. Seeing that at least Port Pirie, Port Lincoln and Broken Hill are getting SANFL on 7 Mate, maybe they just thought there weren't enough warm bodies interested to make it worth their while.
SimonH makes vaild points.
All other major state leagues (WAFL, VFL and NEAFL) have at least one game each week broadcast live right across the country via free-to-air satellite and/or internet streaming.
Channel Seven/Southern Cross/VAST have chosen to ignore people living in remote areas (not in a terrestrial broadcast zone) and by doing so have effectively reduced SANFL's live coverage from what ABC did.

I was thinking the very same.
Geez how the hell did the league survive for 100odd years before this season

By suckling at the teat of the big draw cards like Norwood, North and Port Adelaide.

I agree with you, but you'd be amazed how easy it is to keep a total media blackout on a SANFL match result for up to half a week, from Sydney! Admittedly, might be slightly harder in Darwin. The Sleeping Giant wrote:I like the unknown of sport. Once I know the result, there is no point.
