My spare time is quite hard earned. But no, I've never paid enough money to sponsor the club with the hope of brandishing that sponsorship for my own outcomes whilst earning the condemnation of the board and administration of the club.

You are a pissant supporter the club could do without.

And so can I. Foe list for you, your replies will not be read.

Get out there mate.
I think the All Star Womens curtain raiser (women & curtains Hmmm) will be worth turning up for and probably attract more fans the the Crows Reserves wil bring.

And they might even swap shirts at the end of the game :D

It'll be my first game of the year, the warden has granted day release, really looking forward to the Dogs handing out an absolute hiding to the interlopers...

They have named all 7 AFL extended bench players in their SANFL team.
So at least 4, probably 5, possibly more of them won't play "reserves", making the team announcement basically meaningless.
Just another example of how they aren't treating the SANFL with any respect.

Why do we expect them to compromise their #1 side for their #2 side? The whole point of having reserves is to treat them like reserves. Play them in positions that is better for development and not winning, shuffling people around without worrying about results. Adelaide will and absolutely should do what is in the best interests of their main side. Every other side does exactly the same thing with their reserves. Adelaide aren't in the business of looking after the SANFL, so if the SANFL can't get that right we do we expect one club to?

Grahaml,
Nobody expects the Crows to compromise their #1 side for their #2 side, but the Crows were admitted to the SANFL because they promised to be much more than just a reserves side:
- attract an extra 4000+ spectators per game
- always play to win
- help the SANFL clubs promote the games and the League
- generate extra TV revenue
etc...
Of course we were all very sceptical about this, but the club presidents who voted yes truly believed them. (I told Chiggy he was being gullible to his face after the "information meeting" at Glenelg but he disagreed). So it is in the Crows best interests to do their best to fulfil their promises, or the SANFL may decide to kick them out of the League at the end of this season (yes, this is possible).

It just goes to show how poorly the SANFL is being run. All of these promises should of been in writing, anyone with any business sense would of done so.

Can't argue. WRitten guarantees and KPIs for the annual reviews.

Yet 6 of the presidents agreed under due diligence.

Embarrassing !!!

This is the first game I won't be attending when I don't have another commitment for years. I'm not sure if my stubbornness is good or bad. I feel like I am letting my team down, especially when they voted no. But on the other hand I don't want to be seen as supporting the AFL in the SANFL. To go, or not to go, that is the question?

I'm going. Our clubs done everything right, as have the players, I think they deserve supporting. I'm just not going to any bendover clubs home games (it was their fault). No attendance records will be broken, I'm sure the crows 4,000 supporters won't turn up. I think "19th man standing up", is their true expected attendance.
Go.

Go and support your side mate.
Its not their fault and they still need your money and support.
Just make sure you heckle and abuse the Cows players and supporters, could make an entertaining day with a few grogs under your belt.
Hopefully at the end of the season the weak clubs like mine can change their minds and kick these sides out
