Just watched the Germany game at a public viewing in the local schloßpark it was awesome.

Algeria played particularly well, the keeper and their left winger were awesome. Germany just had too much class on the ball and seemed like they would get there eventually

lol a streaker runs onto the pitch during the Belgium v usa game, the stewards don't realise and the streaker runs around on the field for over a minute, then the stewards realise and the streaker nearly runs off the field to take himself off :D

Reckon the Dutch and Germans might have a say in proceedings. No one is giving the Europeans any chance but I rate them both higher than Argentina

So the Argies go through at the death.
The wall for the free kick in the last 30 seconds was about 12 feet away and why did the ref not draw a magic line? Swiss had no chance.
Brazil go through after penalties.

Brazil v Argies at the Maracana has already been decided.

Please explain how Klinsmann is a flog... ????

I wish he was managing England, instead of the muppet currently in charge...

He was the original diver, admitted several times that he dived to win penalties and he even joked about getting a player sent off in Italia 90 with probably the worst dive ever.

Fair to say ALL favorites went through to the 1/4 Finals Stage from the Round of 16.
In terms of $$$ Muller not scoring has an impact but Zee Germans & Argies are on track.

Think Brazil are vulnerable to Colombia - will depend on Colombia's players being over awed by the occasion or not.
One thing we can say is that Young Players generally thrive on the occasion & Older Players tend to get a little more 'toey', plus the added pressure of expectation on the Home Team - should Colombia score 1st & James Rodreigez score or have a hand in it, trouble for Brazil.
Brazil to scrape through (JTC, no doubt you suggest with Officialdom 'Help', yeah?)

Holland v Costa Rica will be interesting - hoping Holland, as before the Round 16 game I bet on Coast Rica to go out in 1/4s @ $2.50.
But despite their impressive results, I would contend that they haven't played all that well since the opening game v Spain & are vulnerable.
Holland, just. Maybe Penalties.

Argentina v Belgium will be a cracking match. Red Devils are a real chance IMHO.
Wallet says Argies. But gunna go for Belgium in an 'upset' - might take a 'saver' @ $2.44 to get through 8)

Germany v France ... Germans too haven't been that impressive since their 1st match v Portugal. I think they have struggled against all 3 teams Ghana, USA & Algeria but their experience & legendary self belief has got them through. France on the other hand have 'flown under the radar' a bit. I backed both to win the Tournament so won't be unhappy who wins but Germany are a 'bigger' result for me, obviously.
Going with the Power that is Zee Germans - they almost always make Semi Finals of Major Championships. Germany for mine.

Now the Tournament REALLY begins.
