Yep that's correct. Injuries mainly, has been growing every week but I think we get a couple back this week. 2 or 3 are away which doesn't help either.

What are your boys doing at training Cracka? looking at the side you put on the park against TV, who are these guys? And how are your B Grade and U17s both undefeated? Perhaps the 9 A grade coaches you have need to re-think how you train your players!

HTR, in relation to Crumber's comments if his assessment is correct, why is Milang not the team we saw in last years grand final? Y ou could of won a flag had Blackwood not been around. Just had a look at your results this year and you don't win at night. I've only seen one game this year (round 1) and you were hammered yet your side seemed to be pretty well the same as last year. What has gone wrong or is C grade just getting stronger? Would be interested in your comments.

Milang by 4 goals against Barker today. A good standard game with the Panthers never in doubt. An excellent umpiring display by a decent umpire (Guy Schubert) lifted the standard and was appreciated by both sides.

In relation to previous posts; yes we don't perform well at night and never have. Our first game this Friday night under our own new lights will be testing. Yes again; the standard of Cs is getting higher. Ironbank and Uraidla will set the pace and as clubs overloaded with Seniors, will be hard to beat.

There are a few new faces in the Panthers' line-up this year. The side has around 75% of last year's players. Some tactical changes may or may not bear fruit. As always, we are keen and have players missing out on a game nearly every week.

Certainly not a "Mickey Mouse" Comp as someone suggested here recently. Obviously hasn't seen a game!

Ironbank over Lobethal on Saturday night, certainly not Mickey Mouse and teams going hard at it, there's pressure on at Lobethal we are 7-0 in the A's and have 7 A graders out at the moment so everyone needs to perform to get a game, if they want to play A'2's our blokes are going to need to work hard in the C's, nothing's for free anymore.

I played today and it certainly was a great game some really good players in the Milang side and they deserved the win. The fact that more footy isn't played at Milang is a shame, best surface in the league and great people at the club including a lot of kids running around which is good for the future. Never seen so many people at a C Grade game as well had a good chat with a few Milang people after the game good blokes all round. :D

First ever night game at Milang tomorrow night (30th). Milang v Lobethal at 7 pm. Lights all good thanks to a huge effort over the years from many personnel at a small club. This commitment ensures the Panthers intend to play good country footy for many years to come. Will be a great night well worth attending. Canteen and bar open; well worth a visit! :D

Good luck hope everything goes well for the club and a win as a bonus.
Amazing to hear a club go from non existence to fielding a team to playing under lights.
May be the league could give you a final under lights later or even play country or central final in the future. ( yes I know the rule about finals only being played on that div's grounds, but one team could have Milang host the final for them on a ground that normally has a brilliant surface. Or change the rule.)

Cheers YOPK. Panthers by 8 goals over Lobethal. The lighting was excellent and the game played in front of a big country crowd. A fantastic achievement by a very small community.

Ironbank by 6-7 goals over Milang at Mt. Barker yesterday arvo. The Panthers outscored Ironbank in the second half so were pretty chuffed.

A noticeable aspect of the game was the more even result, probably due to the timing of the fixture. Playing on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons ensures players from the bigger clubs are serious about Cs and wanting to be there; willing to go out of their way rather than tack onto Saturday games where an already supportive crowd and players who didn't get a jumper in As or Bs are already on-site.

The aim of Cs was certainly reflected in our game. Both sides fought hard and meant it. The standard was excellent and well worth watching.

Cooooo-eeeeee!.................. About to post scores and noticed the last 2 posts were mine. Nevertheless, Uri over Milang at Uri tonight by 8 points. Panthers won the first half, Cabbages the second. Less than a goal between us all night. Another true C Grade game in that both sides wanted to be there in cold and slippery conditions on a Friday night. An excellent equalizer for C's and can assure it was sheep stations out there. Best team won on the night, no umpiring complaints and the steak sandwiches were rocket fuel.

Coooooeeeeee! :D

Good to hear a close hard fought game. Milang starting to find their feet playing night games?
All the best to the Panthers.

Good to see Cs re-activated :-) Ironbank will be hard to beat this year as they have many excess players due to the AJ factor no matter where or when they play. Uraidla a strong club but only just had the numbers out of their safety Saturday zone and will contest 2nd or 3rd spot. Lobey and Barker still in there. Panthers should be watched carefully as we know how to play Cs and are never short. Finals will be 1 v 4, 2 v 3, the winners of both in GF.

Uraidla and Ironbank can have their 3 bench B graders play, which both have not been doing. It will make their teams even stronger, can Milang cope with that?

Ironbank and Uraidla both used their 3 bench B graders against us in rounds 3 and 4 respectively. Both games were their home games and played at 5 pm on a Saturday night in front of existing home crowds. Needless to say, the margins were considerably bigger than our other encounters against them this year when the games were stand alone C Grade matches. Which brings me to the point I've been trying to make in that stand alone Cs are an excellent equaliser as they sort and encourage genuine C Grade participants. We have more of the same to come so will have to learn to deal with it as best we can.

I heard that Mt Barker rolled Ironbank yesterday. Did you play B39? A match report would be good. So there you go; bottom side defeats top side in stand alone Cs. Good for the competition; great stuff Roos! Lets hope the HFL take note when programming for next year. :?

A very good point made HTR. If you look back on scores in the circumstances you mentioned you are very right. Is your jumper still in the fray HTR?
