Central United are a much different side at home. They use their home ground to their advantage. its like the fortress. They don't lose that often at home. So I reckon they'll win by at least 5 goals min today.

thats an urban myth..ALL teams should play well at their home ground..last year CUFC played 7 games at mofflin and lost 4 of them..this year they have played 5 games at mofflin and have lost 4 of them..only beating MPFC..

I couldn't find a specific rule stating that in R & R's, but common sense would say that's how it should be......we hope....

Both grades forfeited so what's it matter?

Bickle's post.......well i heard on the grape vine that they had a B grade side but only about 8 A graders, which makes me wonder why they didnt pull the B's........strange call.

No mention of both sides forfeiting PG..... and if doesn't matter to you ....why did you bother....

I said at the very start both sides forfeited so pay attention.. I bothered because I was confused why such a discussion was taking place when it anyway who was paying attention knew that both sides had been canned and the relevance of which side should forfeit was irrelevant.[/quote]

My point wasn't about the relevance that AV had forfeited both teams....... but specifically to Bickle's post and a question mark that would permit a Club to play for example a B grade side in lieu of the A's.

Common sense would say otherwise and despite in subsequent post where some examples by others were given to the contrary in days past, it was FE who came to the rescue with a reference in R & R's that covered that point.

As for paying attention will forgive me if I don't necessarily pay attention to all the PG minutia with which you enlighten your entourage of camp followers in your quest to be the leading "poster boy" for 2014. That said, do keep up the good work laddie ..... because if nothing else... you are entertaining..... :)

Drama at Mofflin Reserve today!

Inaccurate kicking early seen Lockleys jump out to a 7.2 to 3.5 at quarter time despite Units looking more dangerous up forward.

2nd quarter went back and forth and Lockleys held a 4 goal lead at 1/2 time. Units wasted chances going forward while Lockleys were dead eye (10.4 at 1/2 time from memory)

3rd quarter Central United made the most of their chances, ran hard and pressured Lockleys. Their forward line looked lethal and they managed to wrestle their way to the front to lead at 3/4 time by a couple of points.

Last quarter was controlled early by Units but couldn't seem to break away, goals went back and forth. Units nailed a goal with 10 min remaining to extend to 7 point lead.. Then it all went bad!

Lockleys kicked a goal shortly after from a clearance, trailed by a point.. 7 minutes remained.. Lockleys got the clearance, kicked long, scrimmage ensured.. Lockleys won the ball, kick back to the centre and a very good low mark taken around the 50 by Lockleys.

Siren sounded

Lad from Lockleys went back and slotted the goal, they won by 5 points..

Was still best part of 5 minutes remaining on the clock, Units drunken time keeper f**ked up badly!

On another note, there really needs to some base level standard and testing of umpires regardless of the level.

One at CU v Lockleus was good, the blonde haired bloke but the other umpire was horrendous! Walked around all day, constantly a long way from the contest, some very unusual or suspect calls and he even had the audacity to over rule the other umpire on a couple of occasions! He was an embarrassment!
