I see a couple of clubs (outside C&CCA) have started or have locked in starting dates... Round 1 will be here before we know it!
My plan is to worry about cricket when footy finishes.

Negative, turning out to be a very long winded and frustrating process! Seems no bastard wants to get involved until the other bastard has acted.. It's like a Mexican stand off!
That and as a club from our end, we still have a few tasks that need to be attended to before we can progress. Earliest I can foresee or hope they will be completed by is not until near finals (Feb/Mar 2015).

Re: S.A Churches & Community Cricket Association 2013/14.
Taken on the role of Secretary this year - have a bit more flexibility, resources and time than last years Secretary. Also staying on as coach for another season.
How we structure off field and what our constitution states are slightly different - our constitution needs to be updated, there are far too many positions to be filled! We have gone with the essentials and cut back a bit:
Chairman, President, Secretary, Treasurer and 3x committee members make up the Management Committee.
Coach selects the side with input from captains
Captains are elected from the Management Committee
We have 4x (one for each team) seperate delegates that attend the association meetings on the clubs behalf
We have 2x Stats officers that take care of all the stat records and complete the mycricket requirements each week.
As for training, fee payments etc, we try to remain competitive and eliminate the excuses to maximise our returns.
Enfield is a little more fortunate than other clubs in churches though in that we have a larger member base so more people that we can potentially get involved, whereas a club like say Morialta or Central Mission rely heavily on the likes of Ian Kinsman and Glenys Phillips to do a bulk of their work if not all of it.

Good community cricket structure imo. Similar to ours. Dont know how some clubs function relying on 1 or 2 people.
