Let's say 500 minimum people paying @ GFs. @ $15 per head is 7.5k, 1500 paying I would imagine happens or even more. The league would be insane to cough that up.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Bye the bye ...I'm not the one whinging.....not even playing......Just saying...its a stupid time to expect players (and strappers if you will ) to have to front up for a 9.00 am start to a full on game of GF football IMO.....
buuuuut, there's not a bloody thing I can do about it so I'll just look forward to the day - and the 6.30am wake up call that the Super Satdee instigator will be receiving then and every 10 minutes thereafter if he doesn't answer the first time
If I have to be awake, then so does he.
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

Chin up FC no reasonable person is blaming you ........best advice......start drinking early.....long day.......
Whilst a lot of you also don't have anything to do with the running of your club, most of you wouldn't realise that revenue from Grand Finals accounts for 15% of league income.
If clubs don’t want it , then don’t be hypocrites and vote to agree for reductions in calls next time it’s offered which was a 10% reduction for 2 years running. Can’t have it both ways. If clubs have to pay more to the league to be a part of it, then it gets passed onto you in dearer subs.

Going to leave you to it and good luck Saturday....but seriously....take pause and take a breath FC... your preaching to the converted "hypocrites" in many cases....its all about getting a balance for all involved with this subject matter.....it can only get better...

Fair to say we as a club are disappointed to not be setting up marquees at Salisbury Oval on Saturday, at in my very biased opinion, the best place to watch footy in the SAAFL. We were willing to host again.
Hope Trinity and Mawson Lakes enjoy their trip to Mitcham. Unlucky lads.

Played in the 07 GF @ Salisbury and thought it was a ripping deck.

Have to agree - good oval to play on and watch from, is this all because of the issues that occurred at last years GF you held? Surely this was more to do with who was playing rather than where? Didn't the issue stem from people not even involved in either club, or do I have that wrong? These people would have arguably caused the same issue at another ground. Was the day poorly managed by the club maybe, ie too many people sneaking in their own alcohol for example? I'm not saying it was, I only heard of what happened on here or the news but thought then it shouldn't reflect badly on your club.

Obviously there was a major issue with the crowd last year, but liquor licensing ticked off on us hosting suitably. As a club we had hired security guards to work the gate and walk around the ground, hired a certain amount of port-a-loos based on the crowd expected, filed the necessary paperwork for an extension to serve liqour outside the designated areas (ie the hill on the other side, a mistake we had made in a previous year). We had covered every base we could with that side of it. Unfortunately you can't control the type of people walking through the gate.
Maybe the league wanted to keep a game out of the northern suburbs completely, I don't know, but as far as I am aware we had covered every base possible.

Definitely sounds like you did cover all bases. Seems like the league may want to cash in on potentially larger crowds too. Div 3 and 4 have two side from us and two from Modbury, Salisbury West and Hope Valley - good luck getting back to the North/North East Saturday afternoon!

Not meaning to whinge as FC has pointed out but it would of been a lot easier if the Div6 and C4 final was played at Salisbury if they were willing to host?
