SPELLY - North @ Alberton

Postby - » Wed Oct 18, 2006 1:49 pm

North won at Alberton in 96, 97, 98, 04, 05, 06. I am 99% sure in the last 11 seasons the clubs have only played at the venue once a year.

My question is has anyone in history ever one 6 or more out of an eleven game stretch at the venue?

Secondly can you bring up Ports overall record at Alberton as well as a club by club breakdown.

Thanks. BTW I reckon this is the toughest task (the 6 of 11) I have seen anyone put to you. It will be interesting to see if you can come up with the goods.

"Baby on board". Why dont you put a sign on ur car saying "adult on board" or "car stereo in use"?

Yes, North have played once every year since 1994 at Alberton (no game was played there in 1993 between Port and North)

North has had this 6 out of 11 record twice before:

Between 1981 and 1991: Wins in 1981, 1983, 1985, 1987. 1988 and 1991. (This was 6 in 10, but carried over to 1992 to make it 6 in 11)
Between 1985 and 1997/98: Wins in 1985, 1987, 1988, 1991, 1996 and 1997. (This was carried over to 1998 when North won there again, but lost in 1986 so it was still 6 in 11)

No one has won more than 6 out of 10/11 matches at Alberton but 6 out of 10/11 has been made by the following:

Eagles between 1998 and 2006: 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 (6 out 10 and is a current run as well)
Sturt between 1966 and 1978: 1966, 1967, 1969, 1972, 1973, 1978 (6 out of 10, so it carried over to 1979 when they lost)

Port Adelaide record at Alberton is:
Code: Select all

Despite Excel not working for me, I have found a new record that was created on the weekend. ;)

Eagles between 1998 and 2007: 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007 (7 out 11 and is a current run as well)

Also, North now have won 7 out of 12 matches at Alberton.
