The Power from Port doesn't have Michael Watson on the list. I already have Michael Watson down, played for Woodville, so you might need to re-check that.

The other Watsons on there are Gordon Watson 1951-52 and Joseph Watson 1911; 1913-14

If you have a copy of the 1979 SANFL Grand Final Football Budget. they have lists of games played and goals kicked by each player in 1979. M.Watson is listed as playing 3 games for Port Adelaide. I checked other copies of the Football Budget for the minor rounds and Michael Watson is definitely listed., guernsey no 30. The Power from Port may be interested to know this.

Yes Im aware of this but he is not listed in the 1979 PAFC Annual Report at all along with a few other players that are listed in SANFL budgets for other years but the club doesnt have a record of at all which are Jon Evans, Murray Marrett & Trevor Talbot I am slowly going through every player profile and comparing sources.

I have the 1979 grand final budget and he is definately in there recruited from Mildura in 78 and made his debut in 79 and played 3 games, also in two different 1980 SANFL yearbooks both down for 3 games in 1979.

I will add him back into the database for now and note this error.

In regard to Jon Evans and Murray Marrett, maybe this will help. Jon Evans kicked 2 goals against Norwood at Football Park, round 1, 1st April 1978. Murray Marrett booted 3 goals against Sturt at Unley Oval, round 7, 14th May 1978. Not sure why the club wouldn't have record of those players, I can recall both of them playing, Evans especially. He played 20 games over a period of 4 years (1975 to 1978). I have Marrett playing 2 games in 1978 and Talbot having played 3 games, also in 1978. Is it possible the 1978 annual report had some printing errors?

Thanks Hawk I know they both played for port as well but when I queried the club for some details on them they had nothing in their records at all which is a real surprise to me as well.

they are both in the 1978 annual report but the club meant that they dont have a record for their career which has probably been lost or misplaced somewhere.

I have a couple of names from the 1960s qho are not on the list:

1962 R Hendry - played 2 games. I am thinking it may be Robert Hendry?

1967 J Hodges - played 4 games. This could be Jeff Hodges who played for Woodville in 1966?
