This counts to me....

Burger Theory truck.

We went to Pictures at the Port last night and they had heaps of food trucks there.

I went to the Burger Theory one and got a "number 2" burger.

Delicious. It had blue cheese sauce, one of the best pattys ive ever tasted and the bun tasted like pancakes.

F**kin de-LICIOUS!!!!

Went the The Gully PH&G today for lunch, sat in the beer garden in one of the booths on the top floor. Had the Panko Crumbed Chicken Breast (basically a chicken parmi) and it was perfectly cooked, thick and juicy. Pretty standard taste-wise. The other three I was with had the soba noodles, prawn bucket and barossa lamb pizza and all of them really enjoyed their meals.

My only complaint was it was pretty hot sitting on that top floor and they didn't have enough people working the bars on a busy Sunday arvo.

Glad to hear they got it right. The schnitzel I had was a good piece of meat at one point I just reckon the chef stuffed our meals up in the oil by cooking out the flavour. It was the same for both meals. These things happen

I hadn't eaten there in years because it was rubbish. Decent beer garden menu now though.

Had a couple of teas at the Gully early last year and it was pretty good, but haven't been there for a while.

If you're travelling to Melbourne and have the time, try the Old Horsham hotel.

you mean the motel across from the caravan park on the way out of town? I didn't think there was a restaurant there anymore.

A lot of places will close before then so they don't have to pay penalty rates

you should be ok.

the Penalty rates are from 7pm, so if places are gonna be closed, they will be closed at 7pm.

the other option is to go out for a late lunch before the cricket

Coobowie Hotel

Nice Gar (2 pieces) and chips for the price of $19. Everyone else liked their meals aprt from the missus and her sister who thought the kilptrick sauce was too sweet on their Schnittys.

Would go again next time I'm in town.

Beer cold and prices reasonable, night topped off by turning $4 into $36 on one of their six pokies.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Make sure you take some vouchers. :D

I took Mrs Wristy to Red Rooster last night with a voucher. The chock was not the only thing that was warm and moist.

I hate it when the chips are warm and moist too ;)

When we lived in Melbourne and used to drive across to Adelaide regularly we tended to stop for a meal at the White Hart Hotel in Horsham.
The food was usually pretty good: http://www.whiteharthorsham.com.au/

went out to concubine on gouger st again for the mrs birthday the other night. food is excellent, up there with the best chinese in adelaide.

there was 10 of us and we had a $45 banquet which gave us a choice of about 4 entrees and mains, and ice-cream for dessert. highly recommend, it was excellent.

another place i would recommend is the loft wine bar, also on gouger street.

very chilled out place, the atmosphere is excellent. they had a great selection of different cocktails, beers and spirits. we didnt even get to the wine list.

definitely not cheap, but it is a very chilled out place

We walked both sides of O'connell St at 9.45pm last night and the only place still serving was the 24hr bakery . could not believe it .
