Maxwell shouldn't be in this discussion at all. Widely considered the best fielder in the country, bowls regularly and when his batting is on he'll just win you games. No doubt hasn't had a great series but when you add the entire value of his bowling, batting and fielding he's clearly doing more than blokes who bat 6 or 7 and don't bowl.
Wow......

BBL4- That's this year mate, If you don't have him in on this years form you've lost it!

sorry the judges have all but locked him in. Been a spud all series and thats the criteria.
I'm a closet Maxwell fan but as the self appointed head of selectors I want to point out he has sucked as$ so far in BBL4 and clearly earnt selection. If he makes some runs or takes some wickets he still has time to pass on his Baggy Bryce .

Add Mr Brett Lee to the bowling lineup, made sure the Sixers lost to the Stars. I can imagine the conversation went something like. "Shit, sorry Mr Captain, let me bowl the super over and fix it for you" Fixed it all right.
On a side note, James Faulkner is putting credibility in the bank, great effort.

Carberry gets let off by a horrible miss and is hitting his way out of selection for the converted Baggy Bryce.
50 off 24 in a devastating knock but it would have been very different if the second worst piece of fielding in BBL 4 hadn't given him the reprieve. I'm confident he can lose this form in the late games

The leave against the Heat only has him in.
Clearly my reading goes better than yours.

If you want to just consider blokes for one aspect of the game, perhaps that should be reflected in the heading too. If he only batted then fair enough, but he bowls some handy overs to allow his team to play one less bowling option (is about as good a spinner as is available too) and saves plenty in the field.
