superboot7 wrote:absolutely fantastic game Haven V Salisbury, both sides played well. It was a great game to watch, old school footy at it's best. Fantastic to see young Reece get best on ground against his old side (Salisbury) Salisbury have two methods of play that I think haven will be on top of , if they play them again in finals, because 1 on 1 I think Haven have it with experience and skills, however Salisbury move the ball very well down the ground. Can punish sides that make mistakes! Can anyone confirm that Salisbury coach gave no awards and called a Sunday training at 7 am? It's not like they played shit, they just got beaten! Disappointing coaching decision
No awards were due to the fact that nobody was back at the club because of a players 21st at a different venue, and the 7am training session happen frequently during the year for recovery, not due to a result.
Credit to North Haven's backline, anytime we seemed to get to half-forward they managed to get their hands on the footy anf ran it out very weel. Playing Demps across half-back is a good move, can see him work from the other end of the ground and the guy can see the game unfolding 10 seconds before anyone around him can. McIntee was good, so were Hocking and Watts, Hood was very quiet though, couldn't work out what they were doing with him. Woodrow injury looked pretty serious, anyone know how bad?
We got a bit out of the game, even though we didn't win. Almost an identical game to the week prior vs Para Hills. Haven are a very good team, but may be expolited with a couople of injuries.
