If you look at the weekends results you could argue that those results would still happen in Div 2

Look Good In Leather wrote:Interesting some of the comments around 2 divisions - currently 3 teams have a percentage of over 66.67% meaning that have doubled their opponent's scores, with 2 teams not far behind!
Looking at the results overall, 21 out of the 44 games played so far have resulted in the winner scoring more than double their opponent's score (what I am calling a big win). This week looks bad because we have had fine weather, but this has been happening all year (just masked a bit due to the amount of rain we have had).
The hard part though is there is not a clean split into two, there is no clear separation mid-way. This week Happy Valley had a big win over Marion, yet have two big losses themselves previously to Reynella and Port Noarlunga. Reynella and Morphettville Park have had big wins against all of their opponents bar 1 each making them the two clear stand outs, but Reynella failed to have a big win against Edwardstown last week, at team that has had 2 big losses (against Morphettville Park & Morphett Vale). Edwardstown themselves have a big win to their name, against Hackham. Port Noarlunga failed to have a big win against Cove this week, despite Cove having had 2 big losses previously. Whilst Cove have not had a big win themselves yet, yet managed a win against Happy Valley in round 3 who was mentioned previously as being a big winner. Christies Beach has had two big losses in a row (Noarlunga & Reynella), yet beat big winner Happy Valley and Brighton, Morphett Vale and Edwardstown, all big winners themselves, failed to have a big win, did not have big wins in their encounters.
Overall, the following teams have had at least one big win: Brighton, Edwardstown, Flagstaff Hill, Happy Valley, Morphett Vale, Morphettville Park, Noarlunga, Port Noarlunga, Reynella
The following have had big losses: Aldinga, Christies Beach, Cove, Edwardstown, Hackham, Happy Valley, Lonsdale, Marion, Noarlunga
Happy Valley & Noarlunga appear in both lists.
From the first list, Edwardstown, Happy Valley, Noarlunga & Port Noarlunga have lost to teams in the second list.
From the second list, Christies Beach, Cove, Noarlunga & Port Noarlunga have beaten teams in the first list.

All I see in this post Mr Leather is 4 out of 7 games are going to be blowouts each week...
Understand each league out there has blowouts, however the SFL must be the one of the highest overall???

He is referring to Division 2 in the hills, look at the weekend just gone:
Kersbrook 29.20 (194) d Sedan Cambrai 0.4 (4)
Birdwood 19.17 (131) d Gumeracha 4.3 (27)
Macclesfield 17.14 (116) d Kangarilla 4.7 (31)
Bridgewater Callington 15.10 (100) d 7.6 (48)
That is why two divisions will struggle to get up in the SFL, the clubs that are in the middle will want nothing to do with it as all the problems are concentrated together.

Ah yes but the SFL is division 1 how can you compare it to division two of the hills???
On current history form, when division two teams play each other example sharks vs lions or hawks vs rams it is with 1-2 goals... Isn't that much better football week in week out for clubs & players?

Explanation is that most of the Div 1 clubs have a full compliment of juniors plus are reasonably successful this year and.in the last 3 years.
Div 2 clubs well Morphy Parks, Edwardstown are stiff because they are going well in the As but in my.opinion they dont qualify for Div 1 unless they make more of an effort to get Saturday juniors. Christies do have a full compliment and good on Cratey and the club for building it up this well but i have them in Div 2 based on A grade performances especially this year.
