England v NZ
NZ win the toss and bowl. Looks a fair start, Eng 2/20 odd.
Lyth and Ballance gone for 7 and 1. Reckon KP would've had them both covered.

The commenters banged on about it but was it really? Obvisouly a good line and length (Hitting the top of off) but, Bell played all around it.

Re: England v NZ
I do have a chuckle for all the people want KP back, the guy texted an opposition ways to get out his captain and also wrote a book slamming all of his team mates. Now I dont like strauss and Cook a huge amount but it's time to move on from the KP era and you know what for as much as everyone is bagging english cricket at the minute there is actually some great talent coming through the batting ranks. Root just keeps getting better and better and hes only 24 (averaged over 90 in the past year), Ballance has been averaging over 50 since his debut, I love Stokes and Butler with the way they take on the game and Ali is a quality number 8 batsman. Bell is a fine player, obviously Lyth we still dont know about yet and Cook must make runs against the Aussies or hes in trouble. Why should we drop talented young players that are making runs in the middle order for a bloke that in his past few years in test cricket didnt make many runs (His average dropped a few runs and he barely made a ton)?
We will struggle to take 20 wickets in the Ashes as we rely to much on Anderson unless Broad steps up but hes been awful of late, However our batting is exciting and I'm keen to see how they go against the best in Johnson, Harris and Co. In test cricket we have some promising youngsters, in One dayers we are truly awful and a mile behind the pack.

Re: England v NZ
Never should have got rid of KP in the first instance.....now have had to take some short term pain (and possibly an Ashes series loss) for long term gain.

Re: England v NZ
England 7/354 at stumps.
Great start by NZ but England good enough to fight back and are now in a really strong position. Didn't see any play but Ballance a other low score against a decent attack lol!! Will continue to get found out to class bowling.
England have a decent lower order with Root, Stokes, Buttler and Ali. All very capable of scoring very quickly.

Can't believe Moeen Ali is at 8. Bats at 3 for his County side

That says more about how shite county standard is rather than how good Ali is.

Not sure that I'd like to watch Butler Root Cook.

Root is an incredibly talented batsman, His form has been super the last 12 months.
He was excellent again last night. I think 8 is too low for Ali to bat personally.

Re: England v NZ
Eng 389
NZ 5/448 including an incredible 63 sundries atm with 22 byes, 34 leg byes, 6 wides and the solitary no ball which was only signaled after checking after a wicket. lol
Poms cant take a trick, struggling to take wickets despite the ball swinging, seaming and bouncing all over the place.
