Mclaren to re-ignite their season, lose this and it's curtains
Compass in a goal fest, should be close.. If they win this have to be flag favourites
Goolwa to flex against a weaker side, can't seem to do it against the better teams
Victor to smash Willunga, been disappointing the last 2 weeks

Who are the in's for Compass in 2015 or just a lift from playing group ?

From what I've seen they have only really gained ex western bulldog Tiller, Corbett and Vitkunas. Would suggest that the playing group has lifted this year

Should be a big investigation dogsbsrkin. The mayor is our number 1 ticket holder. Sounds a bit dodgy

Any feedback on the weekends games fellas...

Compass over Bays- I went to the game and it was a good day out both sides displayed why they are at the top of the table, look forward to the rematch. Tyson looked out of sorts any feedback?

Yank over McLaren- Hinge kicks 5 in his first game was that the difference ?

Strath over Pongy- Were the miners back ?

Goolwa over Creek - Did the Mayor play?

Willunga over Victor- Whats happening down in roo land, did Thewlis play ?

A week off then the first set ends with: (ladder positions)
1v6
2v3
4v5
7v8
9v10

Assoc. game doesn't matter who wins ours will always be superior ;)

hinge was good in his return from what I believe was an Achilles injury he suffered last year in the sanfl. As confidence grows, will obviously get better! Think he will have to go down back full time once he is match fit

Good to hear about hinge lex !
Looked like Tiller started on him but he didn't fire a shot !.
The first quarter was full on football most enjoyable then it seemed compass changed up a gear and bays were left in their dust, not sure how many were out of the bays side but compass were superior on the day and who is going to knock them off ? in our comp it could be anyone on the day.

Yes he did.
Good question. They were bloody terrible on Sat. Started the season full of run (very fit) and confidence and a new game plan. I think I said back then that I thought we'd come back to the field as the season progressed and the other sides gelled and built fitness. We've had a few out (excuses lol) which tests the game plan but most were back against Willunga. Willunga looked pretty good too to me though.
Next game against Pongy will be interesting. Great comp this year!

I must say I was quite surprised at how the game unfolded Saturday however as I've mentioned earlier that Willunga so far this season were decimated with injuries, and more importantly to leaders of the club. On Saturday they brought back McGowan, Burdett, Steele, Paterson and Luke Collier. Makes a massive difference to an otherwise young and inexperienced side. Maybe not 20 goal turnaround difference but the attitude, application and endeavour on Saturday was by far the best they've dished up this season.

You need "book ends" for the structure of any good side. Compass have bought in that.. I mean brought in that ;). The return of Ziggy up forward & Tiller down back has given them that. Corbett back in the middle this year, Hunter & Pinyon over the last couple - handy $ide.

So Compass are spending big $$$ on retaining local lads that grew up playing for Junior footy for Compass (Ziggy, Hunter and Pinyon)??? Corbett has been there for 3+ years now (took last year off). Tiller is the only new recruit this season, who Corbett may have known from Woodville days??

also the answer is yes....yes you do pay those locals. but nothing to be ashamed of, they are guns. giving pinyon 200 per game is good value because he would be 800 in the open market

I don't have a problem with any of it, esp retaining quality local players. I was just having a little dig at dogs mate.

Just like Willunga don't pay their locals... Where's my mate BJ Ernest
Nothing wrong with paying locals if they're worth it - Ziggy, Pinyon & Hunter are - I'd imagine they would put more of it back over the bar.
Oh & I'm sure Grant Bailey is returning for nothing..

Finally you're getting it WoW. I knew you were clever.

I noticed Baileys clearance went in on the same day he picked up a brand new Audi Coupe, coincidence? ;)
