as much as i am sick of him, im not a fan of ousting sitting prime ministers. should be a change going into the election if they want one.

Agree with you benny. Not a fan of that at all.

As for him been a dead man walking. Its hard to tell whats going on at the moment, lots of rumours about on fighting but these could also be media beat ups like normal.

its almost like they have gone to a 1.5 year cycle rather than a 3 year cycle.

the constant leadership speculation for the past 3 terms has been ridiculous

Part of me wants Abbott to stay for the sheer comedy of his weekly gaffes.

I would almost expect Labor to be lobbying for Abbott to stay. Shorten wont beat anyone but Abbott.

But really the entire front bench needs a shake as well.

If the libs change to turnbull and do something about asylum seekers, climate change and give me FTTH NBN, i would seriously consider voting for them.

So maybe leadership change is a good thing. To me turnbull is the most competent politician in the country at the moment.

I'd like the dog-whistling rhetoric to finish and for someone to put an end to the culture of xenophobia being promoted since the Howard-era. Turnbull has to be the one to do that.

Abbott was probably the only person that Shorten had any shot of beating at an election, smart move of the Liberals to finally make the change, with enough time before the next election to repair the damage Half Term Tony has caused
