For the first 20 years of my life starting with the 75 World Cup they were the dominant force of World Cricket and they broke my heart over and over again. Yes a competitive series against the Saffers or Pakis would be better but it is what it is, I'm enjoying flogging these guys. To stay inspired I look at Ambroses D@ckhead haircut or remind myself of all the kids and others who over the years claimed they barracked for the West Indies, where have they gone.
I'm enjoying it for what it is and remember when the shoe was on the other foot.
For The rest of this test I will be posting as if we are playing the Windies of 85 and it is a close contest, I might even turn on my own like most of SAFooty does
cracking under the strain of spectating and ending careers with a stroke of the keyboard.
My posting regarding this epic contest and the struggle between leather and willow starts now....
Eh? Even at their best, we were at least competitive.
I just think it's sad how much they have dropped off, I'm more for an even tense contest rather than watching chumps like Shaun Marsh score centuries with ease and buy himself another series or two and have Rod Marsh sit back with his arms folded nodding and saying "I told you so".
BTW, please don't diss Curtly
1st test of this series Windies 1/58.
1st test 84/85, Australia bowled out for 74 from memory thanks mainly to some late order dashing from Flip Phillips.

Harsh criticising crowds when the have the Aussies playing a woeful windies side!
Their opening bat wouldn't make a shield side!

You must remember, we were still recovering from the loss of the big 3 at that stage.

My mum and her family is Jamaican so I just watch these series as a neutral as I support both sides

You know the West Indies are crap when Shaun Marsh scores more than their entire team combined

Crucial period of play here with their skipper Holder the modern day LLoydy and Bravo the B grade Bradman looking to emulate if not exceed the Marsh/Voges partnership. Yeah, probably get a lead just before stumps tomorrow and get the Aussies in for some traditionally vicious opening spells late in the day . Game on a knife edge and Siddle bowling for his career.

WTF heat packages for the fielders to put in their hands in between balls. Game is fast becoming a joke

Yeah clearly but facts may conflict with my attempt to talk up this contest for the remainder of this test.
It's even money for mine

Hawkeye is higher than iconic West Indian cricket fan Gravy.
B grade Bradman is good judge with a keen eye

Not sure Hawkeye got that totally right, don't think it was missing by that much
