Yeah my opinions of Hastings has changed somewhat, he has a crack and the difference between his best and worst is less than others

Terrific innings by Marsh, I have been a critic of him batting at 6 but his last couple of knocks have been impressive.
I really enjoy watching NZ play cricket

While I'm steadfast in my opinion that Mitch Marsh (or the other one) isn't within a bull's roar of a test match top 6 batsman, I do like him in the one day setup. Especially with Faulkner and Maxwell too it gives us a huge amount of flexibility to either bat deep, bowl deep or a bit of both.

Brilliant innings by Marsh and a very valuable contribution from Hastings. Thoroughly looking forward to the decider between two very attacking teams.
My opinion on Billy Bowden as an umpire hasn't changed, he is still rubbish.

Was an excellent umpire when he first came along. Unfortunately there was a long phase of the game when it took too long for umpires to be promoted and so by the time an umpire got onto the "elite panel" they had already been on the decline. I think it's slightly better now but still too slow.

Last International game the last ODI, isn't it?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Mitch Marsh is on fire in Hamilton, 3/27 in his 6th over after we were copping a belting earlier.

kiwis lose 6/23 at the end, and 5/9 in 15 balls to close out the innings
246 should be chased easily you would think

Hoping that Mitch Marsh's 100 in the ODI v India is the turning point for him that has given him the confidence to kick on

He's got all the attributes to be a very good all-rounder.
The very best all-rounders in recent times have had the ability to bowl 140k's plus and be picked just as a bowler. Which he's getting closer too.
If he can command being picked as a #6 batsman without the bowling he'll be a real asset for us for a long time to come.
Let's hope he makes it to that sort of level in both disciplines.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Agree at the moment his 'almost' there.
His bowling almost warrants him being picked solely as a bowled
With the bat his probably acceptable number 7 but needs to turn that into being an acceptable number 6 and out and out batsmen.
