I was sad when Dave Allen died, very sad when Ronnie Barker died and now that Ronnie Corbett has died, it puts a full stop on my childhood recollection.
These guys taught me about humour and timing. Not that I'm good at it, I just appreciate it in everyday life moreso because of them.

Along with Fawlty Towers and Open All Hours, this sums up my comedy education in the late 70s-early 80s. Dave Allen, sitting in his chair, telling stories half cut. Dream gig.
Loved the Two Ronnies, although I must confess as a kid I hated Ronnie Corbett's' lengthy joke-monologue bit. I can remember their mini-serials, like 'The Worm that Turned' and the detective one with Piggy Malone (Barker) and Charley Farley (Corbett).
Corbett's performance in season 2 of 'Extras' was great as well, snorting cocaine in the dunnies at the BAFTAS and getting sprung.
Rest in Peace. Whilst the old guard of Brit comedy is sadly moving on, at least the torch has been passed onto a new generation and the flame continues to burn brightly.
