Yeah I may have been a bit early on that one. Just though after the 2 wickets Hazelwood got in 1 over, we would rip through them pretty quickly. But it looks like they have settled now. Especially now that the ball isn't doing anything. What ever happened to the SCG being a spin friendly pitch? Where you could get turn on day 1 of the test, and not have to wait to day's 4 & 5?

Starc needs to get more aggressive.

He relies on this swinging yorker all the time. (is a great ball) FFS you are bowling at 148-150km/h start putting a few into the ribs and under the chin at that speed and make the batsman hop around a bit, getting a bit predicable IMHO

Agree. But don't bowl too many short and like you said. Put a few into the ribs. Make him dance a bit.

Be fitting to see Younus Khan get a ton in his last test in Australia

2 blokes who actually look as though they value their wicket. A forgotten commodity in the Australian test XI of recent times.

Let's settle and wait till they have some tougher tests. Marsh, burns and Voges looked like world beaters this time last summer. Although I like the look of Handscomb, looked real good in Adelaide against a quality attack.

My comment has nothing to do with the runs they are scoring.

Both apply themselves to dig in and score off of the bad ball, whilst respecting the good balls.

Both will endure rough patches throughout their careers, no doubt, but the right temperament is there, IMO.

Fully agree. It's almost bought a freshness to the team batting like traditional test players, and they seem to have the confidence of their more established teammates, who in turn seem more settled. It has seemed like that right from the moment they came into the side, not after they've played a few good innings to prove themselves.

Hard to believe Renshaw is only 20.

Also on Offsiders occasionally.
Agree she is very good. Dare I say, definitely not a token position.

Nah, disagree in this case. She is as good as the other non-cricketer commentators.

I agree Daisy but not her, she's bucking that trend IMO.

After watching almost all the Boxing day test on tv and now listening to cricket on the radio since I'm back at work the past two days made me realize how much better the ABC commentators are than the f**king boys club on channel 9.

I've nothing against a woman commentating but I'm not sure why a Pom has got the gig. I don't believe England are playing in this Test Series...

Would have thought that out of 24 million people there'd be a few who could commentate cricket.

Has she posed the question who's winning?
Agreed re the boys club on Ch9, theyre crap,
Can we just get Kerry to commentate the whole 6 hours? Having a girls name is about as close as i want to a female in the box

Like Kelli Underwood? ;)

Do we banish Ned Hall or Simon Hill from the airwaves because there's not a English team playing in the A League?

Alison Mitchell is doing a very good job and is probably there because 1) She's a woman 2) Has experience in cricket commentary and 3) I'm guessing that the BBC and ABC have some working arrangement and for all we know the BBC could be paying half her wage out here and thus saving the ABC a buck or two.

He is great but not a fan of the gimmicks on Triple M. I don't won't to listen to comedians and shit ones at that. I don't give a **** what Mick Molloy or that clown who thinks he is the PM have to say on cricket
