Whilst my day to day vocabulary isn't the most prolific, I do enjoy trying to expand upon it. I'll post a word of the day and if anyone has one they like to use, like to share, then please feel free.

Calliopean - adjective - piercing loudly, resembling a calliope sound ( a calliope is a "steam organ", whistles operated by a keyboard like device )

Procrustean - adjective - tending to produce conformity by violent or arbitrary means.

This thread reminds me of a caller to the overnight talk show probably over 10yrs ago, Graham from Yankalilla and he would ring up with words like these.
Always good to try and broaden your vocabulary, but my problem is remembering them all....
