My old girl made me 4 one litre bottles of CC's, I poured the replica in one glass and the original in another and the missus couldn't tell the difference.

$58 a bottle vs $30 for 4 bottles................................winning.

Whacked down two Cooper's lagers tonight.
Added in some cascade and hallertau
Used the Brew Enhancers along with 200g of wheat malt.
Used the US05 yeasts.

Looking forward to filling up the kegs with these beautiful babies

just poured a simple coopers cerveza from last October.
quite nice and refreshing.
cut up some lime to add in and of course threw in 1/2 instead of a 1/4.

after golf yesterday, I tried a Swell Lager.
haven't had any of the Swell beers, but this one was crisp, fresh, tasty, aromatic. an absolute winner.
I put this here, cos Swell is a microbrewery so its effectively homebrew....

All the Swells are, well, just swell. A little costly in the main ( $10 per can at Agatha's Pt Noarlunga ).

Just bottled up an experimental brew.
I did it on march 26th....so its been in the fermenter for basically 8 weeks.

It was a brigalow munich lager
1.5kg of amber liquid malt
80g nelson sauvin

I did a 30 min boil of the hops with the malt.

Did it to 19L and according to a brew calculator should be around the 4.6% and around 35 IBU

I didnt bother with a final reading.... and those calculators are quite good.

Must say when i rinsed out the tub it did smell very very nice!!

Anyone know where I can buy a gas bottle for my home brew setup?
I used to rent one for years from BOC but I sent it back about 3 years ago and haven't done a brew since.
I've got the full setup with 19 litre post mix kegs as well plus a double tap but haven't used it since sending the gas bottle back.
Been too busy with kids and work but it's still all setup in the man cave just waiting for me to get off my ar$e and get a gas bottle.

I don't want to rent one again as it cost me a fortune so I'd like to buy one if possible.
Anyone know where to buy one or even better have one for sale?
I still have the regulator just need a bottle.

Cheers.

Are they one off uses?
Or can you get them refilled at BOC?

I believe you can buy a full one there and then refill at BOC. There are other brew joints north of the city. Depends on where you are.

I just googled a few places.
They're not cheap but based on what I paid for rental it's still worth buying it.

Was hoping too get a second hand one but not many around.

Yeah I used to have a 6kg bottle.
With 2 x 19 litre kegs it used to last about 6 months before it needed refilling.

Share the recipe mate.
I've tried making CC's and it was terrible.
