With the win over Port on the weekend, this is the first time that Glenelg have been unbeaten over Port in 4 consecutive matches.

Glenelg have won three in a row on the following occasions:

Round 12 1948 to Round 3 1949
Round 13 1968 to Round 14 1969

19.8 (122) is the equal highest losing score by Port against Glenelg, also scoring 17.20 (122) in Round 5 1994, to Glenelg 21.12 (138)

Woo hoo we're gonna win the fl......the um....Diadora Cup??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

when was the last time port never beat glenelg in a season ? everyone i know seems to think 1973 but what is it ? (& dont give us the mathematically chance that they could meet in the finals yet :wink: )
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

It is 1973:
Round 8: Glenelg 14.16 Port 13.16
Round 17: Glenelg 15.16 Port 12.14

1932 and 1969 are the other two times that Port did not defeat Glenelg in a season. (Twice each)

... and in Round 4 Port kicked its lowest losing score against Glenelg, IIRC. Ain't it nice to see Port breaking so many losing records this year? :D
