Can't believe this one Glenelg midfielder Matt Snook will challenge a three-match ban for striking Eagle Jake Comitogianni at Gliderol Stadium on Saturday. Matt Snook (Glenelg) – Striking Conduct: Intentional Impact: Medium Contact: High Penalty: 3 Matches (Base Sanction) Early Plea: 2 Matches

The L Hender one was a sling tackle. Just don't understand how he just received a fine.
Penalty allegedly reduced to 1 match/reprimand (guilty plea). He's taken the rap, free to play Sat.
Finally we get looked after by the tribunal after last years Joshy Woodall travesty.
How does that work? Gets 3 matches/ 2 if he accepts guilty, appeals and gets 1 match or reprimand if guilty plea. He has to be guilty, just look at the video. These tribunals are crazy. His appeal must suggest he thinks he is innocent so if he now accepts a guilty plea , does this mean the tribunal is asking him to lie so he can get a reprimand.
After viewing the incident he got off very lightly to be able to play this week. Hard to gauge force from the video, but intent was certainly there. 2 weeks down to 1 would have been fair IMO
How do you get an early plea option after an appeal? isn't the early plea option taken away via the appeal?

The comp becomes more laughable by the day
HT. You mirror my thoughts. Triple Jeopardy decision for the player. Looks like head high punches OK. I can not find if this is official on SANFL website to confirm but if he received no fine, how does the North guy feel having to fork out a $200 fine for rough play. He may have done a Bachar Houli thing and brought all his mates and people that live nearby in as character witnesses.
So my take from that is that because the classification of the incident was changed, Snook was given the chance to pleed guilty to the lower category of incident.

By appealing the classification change, wouldn't he be essentially saying 'yes I hit him, but a lower classification' so he is pleading guilty anyway?
I am just surprised that the appeal didn't lead to a reduction to a 1 match suspension on the basis of a lower classification. The fact he is free to play this week after that incident astounds me
Maybe the SANFL has the guilts towards us given how you mob squealed when Boyd tripped over his own feet in the 2nd last game last year and you whinged to the SANFL and poor Joshy Woodall got four games.
The ride you mob get for doing the SANFL a favour in 1990 surely has to end soon
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
