Nice to finally win a final yesterday after a long 17 year wait. We didn't play at our best but nice to get a win. Full credit to Kersbrook, what they have achieved over the last 20 years has been phenomenal and im sure they will be back up there again next year.

After that the Rams controlled it for most of the day, with Bridgey coming at them in spurts. A couple injuries to key players didn't help the raiders but nairne were definitely the better side! One of their backmen, had stupid hair with blonde bits going everywhere, was easily the best player on the ground, kept Wakefield unusually quiet and racked them up himself! Craig Evans was still great for Bridgey. Be interesting to see how good their depth is now with a few key injuries! I hope the fella with the broken jaw is doing alright.
Heard Bridgewater had no rotations left in the last quarter? Saw the video of the clash where the Bridgey bloke broke his jaw - OUCH!!!
Hasn't been a great finals series for the Raiders injury wise. Steve Smith busted a collarbone in week 1 and CHF Sam Foutoulis did a hammy (didn't play against Nairne). Then on Saturday after kicking the first 4 goals, John McDonald limps off for the rest of the game and CHB Ben O'Donnell fractures his jaw in 2 places.
Will be a test of depth this week against Ironbank for sure.
There wont be a better chance for Narine to win a flag with them being at full strength and Bridgey & Ironbank having a few key personnel out. Should be a cracker this weekend, obviously if John mcdonald doesn't get up that is a massive out which adds to smith already being out. Ironbank are without Coach Wendleborn & Chris Schneider which also hurts them.
I posted on the central forum about Pleasant Valley and Birdwood merging, it didnt generate much interest. Is this old news? Im led to believe its on the down low but will be happening for next season and they will more than likely want to play country division which seems a bit strange to me.

It would surprise me from a Birdwood perspective. I don't think Torrens Valley mesh well with Birdwood well on a cultural level. I'm sure Torrens Valley would want it to happen but can't see Birdwood agreeing to it. There was talk a few years ago of a Lobey Birdwood potential merge which I know would be received more favorably but i still doubt it.

Very hard to see TV & Birdwood merging, as 19th man said they have very different cultures. TV need some help though as there only surviving due to the money of one man.
Big game tomorrow at Yaroona. I'm tipping the bankers to get up by 2 goals, i think bridgeys outs will be to big for them to overcome. Wakefield will really need to step up for them and help out Houlahan, Evans & Bevelander after a couple of quiet weeks.
